When I first saw the Edge of Sanity in GD, I thought it...

I beg to differ.

It’s usable for the physical rr on some beronath casters (i used it more than once) so i don’t think it deserves a thread like this.

Altough i kinda always used the non-mythical one, and thats probably a thread-worthy topic since several off-hands has this same exact problem, the slight stat increasements on the mythical version fails to overweight the higher spirit requirement (therefore less physique) imho.

I’m genuinely surprised at the number of people who voted yes. Would love to see a GT link. PM me please!

…or not. :stuck_out_tongue:

CD Forcewave main strength is its DoT potential and since Aether has no DoT counterpart, that potential is wasted.

What would make this weapon much better in my opinion would be turning it into a two handed weapon. At least then the flat aether and 100% physical to aether would be much more useful for a build like Death Knight.

WHO are these people voting for the smurf stick?

100% conversion from phys to aether > has +% phys damage on it, wasted stat slot imo. And there aren’t many items that give aether and trauma damage, unless you go full MI, but good luck farming those. Though you can always level a toon that uses that weapon and let us know how it went

@sir spanksalot The new class is called Oathbreaker, no info on what it will focus on. Zantai did mention that retaliation builds will get a lot of love… so maybe?..

This is the truth, item is next to useless. Many aether/chaos/pierce conversions suffer from this, real shame since it removes so much potential. Instead we end up with split damages types and nobody needs that.

Though this particular item is maybe the worst offender, aether conversion of a trauma skill is a facepalm moment

Hmm… you can’t use Devastation with a shield either, or can you? This item could enable no-shield no-2H forcewave just like Spellscourge Bulwark enables no-focus Devastation.

THAT is an interesting concept and one I totally support.

That’s why I don’t include smartass responses.

^Notice the hypocrisy. :stuck_out_tongue:

Just messing with ya, dragon

I’m serious though. If you include a response that could be interpreted as ironic/sarcastic or just hilarious people will swallow the bait. As a result you’ll have plenty of voices that are technical “yes” but really mean “no”, and vice versa. When I saw the way you phrased a second poll option I immediately knew this will happen.

Makes sense to me. I’ll keep this in mind!
