Which new mastery combo will you play first?

Just curious which new mastery combo most people will be playing first?

Personally I will be doing Inquisitor/Necro to experience them both, see if I can make them work well together.

Aether Mage hunter for opienes. Then hybrid Vitality/Pet Ritualist . Then gunslinger chaos Purifier =)

Nightblade/Inquisitor. Blade Burst + Rune of Hagarrad = lots of cold melee fun.

Reaper. Or maybe Apostate if I manage to make a build with that combo.

Will try Arcanist/Inq and see how they go together with all the elemental damage

Definitely Necro/Occy pets - but I’ll most likely push my current chars through the new acts first.

Infiltrator will be my first one

Toss up I just started a sword and board character. Have two other fully content complete. Think I may delete all and empty stash to start 100% fresh. Not new to me I have seen content complete with at least 6 other builds that I then delete. So for the xpac think a necro shaman combo. Don’t want to do another occultistbuild. Maybe then a inquisitor, demologist gun slinger? I already did a dual gun class so not to hyped about that.

Voidcaller + Necromancer

Voidcaller is from a mod?

yeah I love it

after playing GD with grimmest I can’t go back to vanilla density :frowning:

Cool. Which mod?

Not everyone knows all the mods and what they contain. So if people are using them, they might want to mention that when they post their proposed builds.

That why new players won’t be confused.

Hm, I am currently deciding between Demolitionist-Inquisitor and Occultist-Inquisitor. Might try the latter one first, a sort of rogue Inquisitor tapping into the powers of the Void sounds fun from role-playing perspective.

Ah you’re right

Not sure if the mod owner is the creator but I’m playing with it in Cataclysm mod

In Vanilla, I would play Inquisitor + anything, damn cool class.

I must admit I am having trouble “grasping” the theme and idea of what the Insquisitor is.

Is it, like, supposed to be a cleric that uses devices?

Is it some mechanist using ancient artifacts or something?

I need a little help formulating what it’s supposed to be in my head. As it stands, it just seems like a hodgepodge of abilities that Crate couldn’t fit into the other masteries so it got put there and called and Inquisitor.

IMHO, The theme is a user of Luminari artifiacts. Primarily focusing on range, a la dual wielding pistols. It’s primary attack are elemental/or and piercing.

Overall, it’s not dissimilar to other classes, and seems akin to Nightblade except for ranged attacks - dual wield pistols.

Well, pretty much they hoarded a lot of arcane/occult artifacts in their Vault, but various circumstances forced them to begin study them. This study led to learning how to replicate them. So yeah, theme wise they are artifact users above anything else.

They are anything but clerics.

I’ll be starting with a Flames of Ignaffar Inquisitor/Demo build.

First one surely will Necromancer + Occultist
Second Necromancer + Nightblade
Third Necromancer + Soldier or Shaman

In very bottom in this list something with Inquisitor

The ironic thing is that with skills like shooting fire from the hands and ice blasts and such, they fit the classical wizard archetype better than the actual wizard archetype class, despite basically being gadgeteers.
