(to mods: I submitted this post by mistake in the tools section and there u need to have it approved first. please keep it only here)
Do you know whats the point of an arpg? To find loot
You ll then say ”why you care about what another player is doing in single player?”
Well, for once, the trading scene is affecting. People have another reason not to trade too much knowing some items might be created in an offline tool.
With a big influx of players coming from D2, D3 and Path of Exile these players find out that actually people like to create max level chars in GD with also best gear. This is damaging to arpgs.
Do you see sticky topics in median xl, path of diablo and so on with instructions how to dupe/create?
So I wanna ask the software creator … Do you really have to have that option?
I know the modders and old loyal players are stubborn and sometimes they dont see the bigger picture.
To trigger people like you who are so worried aboot how other people enjoy their time. The game is moddable by design if that’s not your cup of tea fine, but many others do like modding games.
Not sure how you define “promoting” since we don’t advertise anything to the community (you overestimate how many people visit the forum).
Grim Dawn is primarily a singleplayer experience created from the beginning with the mindset of letting the players mod and do what they want. It’s not our business to tell people how to have fun on their own PCs.
I understand that there is a subset of ARPG players that craves community competition/ladders/events, but that is not something GD was built around and other ARPGs already focus on it.
The way I think of it in really basic terms is…GD is more like an Elder Scrolls experience than a League of Legends one.
(removed calling out forum members, which is simply uncalled for)
Listen, when you are done theorycrafting your build, first thing you do is testing it.
Do you really think people would waste their time and level EACH build individually every time they finish it? The tools provide a valuable assets for this, so you can actually see, if your build is working or not.
I’ll go ahead and say that almost everyone who posts their builds frequently on these forums does this.
That’s beside the point of it being single player game. Moddable single player game. You do what you want.
Guess you should go back to PoE. It sure has a great ~economy~ ran by bots and price-fixers. Also excellent player interaction during trading, when someone tries to lowball you and then reports to GGG if your answer is remotely aggressive. And GGG will happily ban you for this, because they stand against bad words in chat, but not against scammers.
If yoy really want to show off how awesome your epeen is, path of exile is just that way. Now leave us alone and go play whatever the hell you can show your epeen on.
As the thread creator also publically listed names for shaming, i advise mods close this thread and do the same for others in the future.
This is game is focused extremely heavily on single player. Meaning there’s absolutely no competition between anyone (unless you want), so what you do doesn’t affect anyone else.
Anyone who comes from PoE and D3 thinking there’s some sort of competition needs to accept there’s none or leave.
Wish to see Grim Dawn encrypted, to avoid cheating. If you cheat in the game like that, there is no point in playing it. I don’t care for builds and players that don’t get theirs stuff on they own by playing the game how it’s meant to be played by default. It’s not about ladders, event, it’s about getting stuff, progress, legit way without cheating or else, your achievement is a lie
I don’t talk about steam achievements, I am talking about farming gear legit way and progressing your character all the way to level 100. Thats the legit achievement you make if you play the game by default))
