Why Father Kymon's atttack deals so high damage?

About “Father Kymon, Avatar of Korvaak”.

Only certain his skill may output abnormal high damage.
That is “little fire balls from his stomach”.

But,It receives little damage from his other attacks.
(ex.Jumping attack deals only 1000~1500 damage or so.)
Is there anyone who knows the reason?

This is my character’s performance
armor: 4000 over
fire res: 80 + 40%
physical res: 30%
DA: 3000
And use War Cry (reduce target’s damage 25%).

With flat absorb, that “shotgun” attack isnt so scary…

Weird things happen in Grim Dawn. Those kind of defences should reduce the shotgun dmg to minimum. Same thing happened to me against callagadra when her wind wps spawn was two-shotting me with solid defences and flat 430 absorb (this char facetanks kymon standing in the lava pillar)

Well, that’s kind of the issue when datamining is used to study the game. Sometimes bits are left out.

Father Kymon’s magma burst is 4 projectiles…per cast…and it casts several times over about 2s.

And grimtools doesn’t apply %modifiers to abilities, just displays base values.
