Okay, short summary:
It is kind of unusual that Blade Barrier canĀ“t be purged from Fabius. I donĀ“t know if it is the only ability which has this protection.
But:
Is it a problem? Is Fabius too hard a Nemesis with this ability? I donĀ“t think so.
You all should all play more Bleeding Builds; than you will see the real problem with his Blade Barrier if you play half asleep. 
Grava can totally remove your Aether cluster and blade barrier. Now am just going to tank Grava through my defensive mechanism.

It is if heās low and youāre surrounded by other nems, forcing you to retreat. In which case, his shadow strike may end you.
I just let my pretty bats to tank him

No offense meant, but if he gets up his Blade Barrier your damage was too low (and Yes, I know the āproblemā from deeper shards). Get away (and you all use Displacement). and get your Health up. If you have a DoT-Build, he will die anyway.
Believe me, the āplayerā of Fabius will throw his mouse away like I do so very ofen when using Blade Barrier.

It really isnāt depending on mutators, and not every one has racial damage against humans. Furthermore, itās not uncommon for your DPS to be reduced by 30% by debuffsā¦
EDIT: Bear in mind that Iām speaking from the perspective of naked crucible, which I understand is a very very very narrow-minded/niche perspective. So I donāt expect, nor am I demanding, for this change to occur.

Yeah, I know. When I say ālow damageā, this isnĀ“t meant to be insulting or something, just 
a fact (tried to not use this word). 
You have to think different tactics at that moment. For example hitting another enemy to get Health up via ADctH, pull up Blade Barrier by yourself (like my Trickster does a second after he used his) or kill a weaker mob with Guillotine to get āRevel in Deathā (e. g.).

Mate, of course there are workarounds to fabius. Itās even possible to dodge his shadow strike with proper piloting (i.e. move in a circle when you hear his veil of shadows take effect).
But there are times when outplays are impossible, or mistakes happen.
I sure know these situations.
But (I have to ask):
After the buffs (and re-nerfs) to himā¦if Blade Barrier would be dispelable does he need a buff to compensate or will he still be a worthy enemy?
I canĀ“t really say because for most of my toons he isnĀ“t really a problem, because I always have Racial Damage against Humans.
Say that to Fabiusā Veil of Shadowā¦
He isnt a problem even if you dont have damage bonus VS humans. Heās a problem only if you deal damage heās resistant to.

A long time ago, i was trying to facetank Grava when Aom was just released. It was only doable for my Witchblade by using the devotion skill Cleansing Waters. With using it the difference was day and night.
So it should remove Fabius aura, so your telling me it doesnāt ?
At least, nullification doesnt.
Are you sure? Maybe he toggles it back on
Debuff on me doesnt even blinks, much less fades. He must have mongoose reflexesā¦ While all other enemies dont even care to toggle back their auras.
I donāt consider using a single skill on a skill that lasts 3 seconds as an example of āgood, skilled gameplayā. Thereās no skill involved in doing such a thing since heās immobilized and just standing there.
Also, Fabiusās Blade Barrier is just better than the playerās version. Thatās the in-universe explanation.
