Why is it that killing Chthonics or Aetherials reward no Black Legion reputation?

I always found it rather weird that Outcast and Death Vigil/Kymon gives out rep for killing practically everything, whereas the Black Legion, which is the front-line in the defense/offense against the Aetherial and Chthonic thread, offers no reputation for killing enemies from either faction. It’s also even weirder that killing Loghorrean gives no reputation for Black Legion. Am I missing something here? Why is it made the way it is beside artificially making a it super difficult to earn reputation for this faction.

Also, doesn’t Creed like the outcasts? How come killing them offers +ve reputation?

The new Aetherial faction gives Black Legion rep when you kill them, along with BL rep from some of the quests.

Btw, I find it rather confusing that the Malmouth Aetherials - despite belonging to a new faction - are still labelled as Aetherial Aberrations, not as Aetherial Vanguard, when you check the text below the monster name.

I also noticed that Plants are considered Beasts - killing plant heroes gives reputation with the Coven. Same goes for Wraiths, despite being undead I guess they are related to the Wendigo cult and hence give reputation. Then again, they must be special undead as they spawn with beasts and humans and they do not attack them.

Having the wraiths be actually part of the undead would lead to them to fighting the beasts.

Well, if you checked, this isn’t so anymore, thankfully. Killing the Aetherial Vanguard now boosts reputation with them. :slight_smile:
I guess they fight the other two so often, killing them ain’t no big deal news for the Legion - they themselves can and will do it every day.

I know, sure, but they are still labeled as Undead.
Plus, the Wendigos and Ugdenbog Wrecthes are Beast/Undead and Human/Undead, respectively, too.
