Will It Run...

My wife and I enjoy playing ARPG’s together on our laptops. We have played the following games without any issues:

Diablo II + Lord of Destruction Expansion
Diablo III + Reaper of Souls Expansion
Titan Quest + Immortal Throne Expansion
Torchlight II

Our systems specs are:

i3-5005U Processor (Dual Core, 2.0GHz, 3M Cache)
Intel HD Graphics 5500
16 GB 1600MHz DDR3 Non-ECC

I have tried to Google whether or not we can play Grim Dawn together but have thus far encountered mixed opinions. Before we buy two copies each (+ the upcoming DLC) I wanted to know if this game will work or not. We don’t mind lowering the resolution to comparative Titan Quest levels but just wanted to ensure that it won’t be at a dead crawl once mob intensity increases. Thanks!

The Intel HD ‘graphics card’ would worry me.

You can always buy a copy on Steam, see if it works well enough and if not, return it (provided you do so within a few days and playing less than 2 hours or so, see conditions).

Thanks for the response. I am concerned, however, that monster density may be lower earlier on and the game may initially run fine. However, after the 2 hour deadline the density starts to increase and the game suddenly becomes unplayable.

You could download a highlevel savegame file to see how things play later, if that’s a major concern for you.

You should also test the multiplayer before your 2 hours are up via lan/internet to make sure that doesn’t influence the performance of the game.

Thanks for all the advice!
