Will of Rattosh

TRy Kuba then.

Most vit builds can easily get Rattosh, Dying God, And even TD. It’s a win all the way.

There is never vit rr. Even those Chthonian Parasites are absurdly resistant to Vit. For this reason Swarm nukes Vit so hard. Ritualists with Rattosh do good vitality damage. CAbalists coming in at second and Radaggan Deceiver third

You had played the Black Flame set with Chaos Aetherray in Vanilla and AOM with Warlock?
Arcanist has no -RR for chaos, occultist has no -RR too.
How much -Chaos RR can we get with this class combo?

Vanilla:
Devotion: Edlritch Fire, Manticore
Items: Orb of the Black Flame, Necrosis relic (nobody use it, because we need +skills )

AOM:
Voidheart+Ignaffar’s Combustion relic

There is not so much chaos RR support for this class combo, you have to play with inquisitor for more chaos rr.

Play it with Mage Hunter, that’s better choose for Black Flame set.

That’s my point, currently Chaos builds have to choose b/w three classes. Add RR to Vulnerability and you take away their reason to choose

To counter you Black Flame point, we also have Clairvoyant Aether Warlock. The class combo has no Aether RR but the Warlock is “devastatingly” good. But at the same time one can squeeze more performance from Cabalist and Binders, point is every class combo brings something to the table and we have to choose b/w what we want the most. That’s what I like about GD, the agony of choice.

Or play Deceiver that’s the best use for Black Flame set

But I talk about chaos aether ray

The Black flame set was for a warlock in vanilla and has already a bad performance vs. chthonics enemies. You dont do good dmg with this low -RR

Oh I know, I was responding to korsar’s comment with a joke about how AAR is shit and not worth the effort

Vitality -RR should not be touched. As the guys mentioned, it sucks to meet Kuba, certain chthonians and sometimes undead. No need to add complications, vitality builds are not that strong outside of dw (usual thing).
The only issue with Aether is lack of proper T3 devotion. Both Rattosh and Spear are crap for Aether. But Aether itemisation and class support is great for both melee and caster, plus most enemies are not resistant.

Arcane Currents is the best Aether T3 devotion.

I mean… I am not even kidding…

Now honestly, I agree with you. I mean, Arcane Currents are good, ngl tbh btw, but you’re kind of forced to bind it to a DoT skill in order to fully benefit from them and have enough conversion or elemental damage to make them work.
I have a spellbinder that has ~1700% elemental damage and about 2800 aether damage, with ~53% elemental -> aether and 59% fire -> aether and they actually melt stuff. Aside of that, I don’t really see any other build that would benefit from currents, maybe a dual wield character with benorath and 2x seal of might. But then you waste so much aether and elemental damage (% bonus) that it’s not even worth it.

Isn’t the ultimative build reliance and dependency on RR the actual elephant in the room?

Game simply cannot be played without RR, and it’s dominant in devotion/gear/skill choices and decisions. People pick based on it, even if an item or devotion has nothing in common with their build.
And I’m not even about min-maxing, but even casually bitching around with a mediocre build.
Past mid elite game turns into a chore without it, ultimate is a straight NO.

Back in the days there were plans to fix this issue once and for all, but as long as I can see it only intensifies.
