Will the 64 bit client reduce stuttering?

I know it is a decent engine and it has been tweaked. It’s obviously much much better than it was in the super janky days. But it’s still pretty archaic compared to modern standards in some aspects. Does it still run on one core? At any rate these stuttering issues were only solved with Afterburner, so the idea that the engine is okay because it has been worked on doesn’t pan out for me.

But the game is amazing, and with this issue mostly fixed I don’t have any serious issues.

No prob. Apologies if I initially came off harsh. As for the occasional ‘hitches’ you are referring to, even I still get those on occasion, the majority for me occur when I rapidly spin the camera in a new direction while moving etc. I suspect those may be caused by loading in edge areas of the game as they come in range of your character.

As you’ve likely noticed, enemies in GD fight each other etc… but if you move far enough away they actually ‘pause’ and won’t resume until you come back in range. I think stuff like this accounts for some of the hitches and when I whip the camera around it may be loading in some of the edges in reaction to my camera adjustment. Which may, or may not, include enemy activity firing up in response.

Yeah now and then I do notice the occasional hitch and maybe some framepacing issues that are small. It’s nothing compared to what I was dealing with though, which was about 60% of the time and full on microstutter. No problems.

As with before I didn’t want to come off like I was demanding fixes from the devs or anything. I mean they implemented high-res shadows for me so that was the last major thing that was an eyesore to me. Right now the game is playing amazingly well overall.

so… which is correct for shortcut? /d3d9 or -d3d9? was wondering for a while. thanks in advance

/d3d9 is the correct way to enter it in the launch option.
