Allowing those characters to save their progress within those mods?
Doing the above without requiring the user to dive into their save folders and performing computer sorcery?
Make any of this compatible with cloud saving?
I know that Defiler would just allow me to spawn whatever character i want with whatever gear i wish. But the thought of needing to edit a character every time i wish to play in a different module suddenly makes me want to play a whole lot less.
Since there is no guarantee whatsoever that a char from a mod is compatible with the vanilla game, I’d say no, this will never be supported - and for good reason.
If you know that the mods you use are compatible, you will have to use a tool if you want to move the same char back and forth.
You won’t be able to use a campaign character in any mods if they use custom masteries anyway so what’s the point?
You have skill points spent in GD skills, once you open a mod, those skills don’t exist anymore if you’re using a mod which doesn’t have those masteries, because the game only supports 9 masteries at one time. If you’re using my mod, Grim Quest for example, you have 9 other masteries and the GD ones cannot be used, so you lose all skill points you have.
No properly not, it can be done but the computer tech hasnt come in doing that. More and more I am being put off of Grim Dawn, more and more there is no point in using mods. Because you will have to do the oppesite of what you said, every time you put a mod in the mod folder unless the creator said compatible with all mods and what not. Which is very very few, so I am starting to be put off of Grim Dawn.
