My issue with Olexa’s Flash Freeze is that for a CC skill u have to invest waaay too many points into it unless your ‘main’ spec is Arcanist. With my AAR chaor warlock unless i put like 8 or 10 points into it its simply too little range to be of any real use.

Out of curiosity, how many people use Grasping Vines/Entangling Vines outside of one pointing it for proccing devotions? Does it deal a substantial amount of Bleed or Vitality Decay on builds that stack both? Is it worth overcapping with + skills bonuses?
I used to put some more points in Grasping Vines for some time with my Trickster, but not for the Bleed Damage (it is too low) but for the greater radius for CC. Together with Rend that was kind of awesome but I needed the points for other things.
I keep Entangling maxed on my sigil conjurer for the slower enemy attack.
I guess my question would be what makes it so different from any of the other exclusive skills available that you’d rate its usefulness so poorly?
And maybe things have changed, I’m just getting back into the expansion, but I remember Blade Trap specifically being used for farming so fast that it lead to a general Nightblade damage output nerf.
Master of Death is much better in pretty much all situations.
Veterancy is still pretty lame. I mean, it’s the one Soldier passive I won’t even bother one-pointing.

I agree actually. Tenacity of the Boar was a poor choice to add to the list. I suppose it feels a little out of place in the Savagery line.
I’ve added Veterancy instead as its main feature is a very low amount of HP regen.
Added Upheavel as it pretty much discourages you from taking other WPS skills.

Yeah, I didn’t even max it on my one build that used hp regen. IIRC the difference was something like 650 without, 770 with, unbuffed. With buffs it was even more pointless, like 1400 without, 1600 with. I’m not spending 10 points on that.
Avyctes nailed it. %offense and flat defense beat ADCTH and attack/cast speed into the ground. The +damage is an irrelevancy; the conversion might be useful but I haven’t made a build yet that needed to get it from HoS. Flat vitality decay is just about the only good thing on HoS that can’t be easily made up somewhere else.

My Cold PB build and Chaos PB build are throwing blades at you, let me know if one of the blades castrates you

Harbinger of Souls is decent only for Vitality Decay which is in a very bad state at the moment due to lack of non-conversion item support. The best way to build it through conversion
For Vitality Decay not picking Harbinger would be a bad choice. For Vitality though MoD might be slightly better than HoS -
Aura of Censure, I’ve already made a thread and mentioned in many posts that this needs a buff. To me it’s just a worse version of Veil of Shadows since VoS can debuff enemy OA and Total Speed while Censure doesn’t do jack shit
Very specific builds can make use of it, even elemental builds can’t make use of it at times and that’s a bad sign imo -
BT and OFF, already made a bunch of threads regarding these two skills and suggested pretty much the same thing about turning BT into a trap skill with CC and making it so that OFF’s debuff is independent of the freeze effect. Currently all RR related skill mods for Arcanist go to waste on OFF

Veterncy is good only for Pierce Shield Blademaster for the reduced requirements. The HP regen on it could use a buff to make it a decent one pointer

Ulzuin’s Wrath is abysmal to the point that the only Vindicative Flame build on the forums doesn’t bother investing heavily into it
They should copy-paste Spectral Wrath’s template over it imo -
Foul Eruption is good only in Crucible and is mostly useless outside it. If they try to modify the way it works it might lead to a series of nerfs. Something I am not interested in, so let’s leave that skill be imo

Ill Omen is good for reducing enemy’s Physical damage but Decay does it better. Although it is currently one of the best devotion procing skill in the game and I personally am fine with it’s role in the mastery. It also is ideal to add RR to the mastery through skill mods

Primal Bond is weak compared to other exclusives but it does serve a purpose on some specific builds. Not sure what kind of buffs it requires. It’s one of those skills you know something is wrong but don’t really care about

Upheavel (the text is too dark in the main post) is the worst WPS atm. It doesn’t affect the main target and is therefore useless for doing anything besides devotion binding

I don´t even know, what a PB is. This might explain it.
Demonslayer’s Hat converts Cold to Vitality, so you can convert the Cold in Nether Edge for Vitality Phantasmal Blades.
Now that i think about, the pierce to vitality on the jacket is no longer needed because Frenetic converts all pierce to vitality on PB.

Blade trap is quite useless. Even on my ranged infiltrator I did not bother taking it.
- Immobilize sucks as CC. Doing nothing to mobs with ranged attacks(sometimes they even turn more dangerous instead due causing them to spawn damaging ranged attacks over and over instead of on and off) and still allowing attacks in melee range.
- The damage part sucks so much it could very well not be there at all.
- While it Debuffs a crazy amount of DA, not having it work on heroes and bosses makes it fairly useless(not that I’m arguing that it should do so).
- Its awkward to use. A more personal thing but compared to say OFF I find it far more annoying to use due the way it is spread, limited cast range and how difficult the visuals are to discern.
