The idea is a chaos+vitality caster that also autoattacks with 1h and shield
I put some points over the limit, considering the items would grant enough points to take away from some skills.
Would it be ok to use the default attack for this build?
Default weapon attack = no devotion procs = less damage.
If you can get Mistborn Talisman for your default attack, it can work.
Or just use Cadence? I was thinking about doing something similar, but more towards hybrid physical/chaos. Would that work?
I’m using 16/16 cadence. Sadly I don’t have troll’s rage or shard of beronath on hardcore yet, so I can’t compare.
You can leave cadence at 1/16 just to proc stuff.
Ok, I will try cadence as main attack until I get one of those item skills.
What about the build I posted? is it reasonable for chaos autoattack+some spells?
Well, this is the build I’m currently levelling up, actually. Whether it’s reasonable I would be able to tell when (if ever - it’s a hardcore character) I complete ultimate. For now I can say that DPS is pretty poor.
My character is a pure autoattacker though, I have no hope for Doom Bolt and I don’t think my build could fit the fully levelled Sigil, esp. with ultimate levels.
May I ask what you use for aoe? I started leveling it yesterday (not much, just 16 levels), and I didn’t realize that I haven’t chosen any real aoe skills.
I’m just autoattacking with solaels witchfire and it’s horribly slow 
Cadence with Bull proc.
I’m currently levelling a one hand and shield based witchblade. I’m level 64 at the moment and just started act 4 elite - things are going pretty well, normal mobs and heroes are no problems at all and I can face tank some of the bosses.
I’ve focussed on SoC, Doom Bolt and Blade Arc as my damage dealers with overguard and war cry being my defensives. Possession and Soleal’s Witchfire are my auras.
Not sure how I’ll go in ultimate but i’ll make changes then if i need to.
