Zenith Elementalist Affinities

I am considering what to do with an Elementalist from Zenith in the Grimarillion mod. I was considering using 2 points in Fire Affinity and 2 points in Lightning Affinity to give 50% elemental converted to fire and lightning making all of my skills only fire and lightning. But I notice that these skills are affected by +1 to all skills. This would prevent me from putting only 2 skill points into each skill or prevent me from using any +1 to all skills gear.

Is there a way to get around this or is this intentional?

if you go over 100% conversion with 2 converters all it does is ratio the percent bonuses.

if you have 200% ele to fire, 200% ele to lightning, its still half fire and half lightning

I should have just tested it before posting.
