Zolhan's Technique. Dualwield only Mainhand?

With the recent changes to:
Necrotic Strike: when dual wielding melee weapons, now deals damage with both weapons.
Reaping Edge: when dual wielding melee weapons, now deals damage with both weapons.

Is Zolhan’s Technique still using only main hand when dual wielding? If not, should it?
I would like to play dual wield with Aetherwarped Cleavers.

It hits with both hands now, according to patch notes. It was changed before 1.0.4.0, even

If this should be the case the tooltips are very inaccurate.
When dualwielding Markovians Advantage shows damage for main and offhand.
For Reaping Strike it shows for main and offhand. For Necrotic Edge it only shows for mainhand (although patch notes states it should deal damage with both hands).
Zolhans Technique tooltip also only shows main hand damage when dualwielding.

When did it ever say this? I only saw 1h

Zolhan’s Technique: When dual wielding guns, now always fires with both guns

Sorry if i sound petty. But guns = meele weapon?

It’s reasonable to assume that if guns can, melee weapons can. By the sound of it, I’d assume melee weapons already could, and they added the ability for guns to.

I just spend some time testing this stuff.

  1. Main hand with low level weapon (lvl1, without any prefix/suffix). No off hand. No Devotions/Spells-> When Zolhan’s Technique proccs, it correctly swings the mainhand weapon and it deals ~30 damage + 3 dots. Each dot around 400 to 200 trauma damage.

  2. Main hand with a high level weapon. No off hand-> When Zolhan’s Technique proccs, it correctly swings the mainhand weapon and it deals ~250 damage + 3 trauma dots.

  3. Main hand with low level weapon and off hand with the high level weapon-> When Zolhan’s Technique proccs, it only swings the main hand. Dealing only one damage tick with ~40 damage (propably, cuz high level off hand has +xx% physical dmg) + 3 dots with trauma damage. So only 4 damage ticks. Frist tick with low level damage.

  4. I testet it with 2 one-handed guns. Works as intented (patch notes 1.0.3.0) Both guns shoot very quickly after another. You can see 5 damage ticks. One from low level gun. One frome high lvel gun. And 3 Trauma dmg dots.

“When dual wielding guns,” Yes so not melee:)

So should it not get a buffed?

I don’t know. These two classes tend to be designed around the idea that shields don’t do damage on Nightblade stuff, and dual wield doesn’t do damage with Soldier stuff.

Their WPS, Blitz and Shadow Strike do not take advantage of the other classes specialty. It may be that way by design.

And yet they have put in this cross-class functionality for Inquisitor and Solider (I know there are other ways to dual-wield guns, but Inq is the most obvious here).

Seems to me like an oversight or an odd idea - but since I seldom use those skills, I can’t comment on the balance side of things.

Yea according to tooltip only Markovians Advantage and Cadence do damge with both weapons.
