Lenoryth
Why are you still talking to me, lowlander?
I'm going to lift the curse.
Hmph, if you must.
Farewell.
The curse is lifted.
He better keep his distance then.{^n}{^n}I don't want to see his face ever again.
Fair enough.
I'm going to empower that curse.
Oh really?{^n}{^n}Good riddance then!
Don't sound too excited now.
Farewell.
I empowered the curse.
If I had known it was possible to make that man suffer more, I would have gladly done it.{^n}{^n}Well done.
Try not to enjoy it too much.
Farewell.
Farewell.
What are you bothering me for, lowlander?
My mistake.
Nevermind.
Speak to my grandmother if you want to pursue this.{^n}{^n}I don't want anything more to do with Maldurf or the curse.
Where is Kryn again?
She lives by herself outside Kurnhold, through the eastern gates.{^n}{^n}You will need the high chieftain's blessing to go there though.
I already have it.
Alright.
Farewell.
What do you want, lowlander?
Do you know a man named Maldurf?
*Lenoryth's expression darkens*{^n}{^n}What about him?
I studied the curse on him. I wish to lift it.
And why would you do such a thing?{^n}{^n}Do you have any idea what he's done?
No, tell me.

We could make him suffer more.
I came to ask you to lift the curse.
I can't.{^n}{^n}And even if I could, why would I do that? You clearly don't know what he's done.
He had a few things to say about you.
Maldurf blaming someone other than himself? What a surprise.{^n}{^n}A lifetime of heartless decisions finally caught up with him. I had nothing to do with it.

What really happened then?
Hasn't he suffered enough?
If you ask me? Absolutely not.{^n}{^n}Not that I cursed him to begin with.

Could we make him suffer more?
Tempting. I hate that man's guts.{^n}{^n}If anyone would know how to do that, it would be my grandmother, Kryn. She is a mystic and a bit unhinged if I'm being honest.
Can I speak to her?
If you want.{^n}{^n}My grandmother lives alone on the outskirts of Kurnhold, past the eastern gate. You won't be able to get there though without the high chieftain's blessing.
I already have it. Thanks for the info.
I will speak to her then.

Can you tell me what happened between you two?
He is a scum, through and through. Maldurf was only ever interested in garnering wealth, especially if he didn't have to work for it. His proudest moment was convincing my wealthy family he would be a fitting match for me.{^n}{^n}I could tell what kind of man he was the moment we met, but nobody listened to my objections. After we were wed, he would lock me in the cabin while he went off to blow the dowry on mead and betting on bones. If I tried to break out, he would lash out, sometimes violently. He would make wild accusations whenever anything went wrong in his life, always blaming me.{^n}{^n}So, one chilling winter's night, I had enough. I grabbed a knife and rammed it into his thigh. While he screamed after me, I grabbed his keys and fled into a blizzard. I barely made it to Kurnhold alive.{^n}{^n}I haven't seen Maldurf since then. I had assumed he got lost in the storm, or decided I wasn't worth the trouble anymore. Then I heard stories about the curse and I could not stop smiling. The gods were looking out for me that night.
So you did not curse him?
No. Wouldn't know the first thing about it.{^n}{^n}My grandmother Kryn though. She is a mystic and a bit unhinged if I'm being honest. She might know more.
I'd like to speak with her.
I don't know why you are so interested in Maldurf.{^n}{^n}My grandmother lives alone on the outskirts of Kurnhold, past the eastern gate. You won't be able to get there though without the high chieftain's blessing.
I already have it. Thanks for the info.
I will speak to her then.
Nevermind.
Sorry to bother you.
Nevermind.
What are you bothering me for, lowlander?
My mistake.
Nevermind.
