Chief Snarltooth
The tainted ones will bleed upon the stones of the mother peak!
Good fortune in battle!
That's what I like to hear!
I hear you rally the puny Kurn to take back the stone bastion.{^n}{^n}Our futures are bound by blood and glory. The Gurr tribe will answer your call!
We will see you on the battlefield.
Your thane promises much bloodshed if we stand with Kurn in battle.{^n}{^n}I will hear his words and make my decision.

That's all I ask.
Farewell.
*Chief Snarltooth cackles*{^n}{^n}A good fight!{^n}{^n}Corpsebreaker was champion of the blood circle for too many winters. It was time he remembered the taste of defeat.{^n}{^n}If your thane is true to his words, then I will hear them. You have earned that much.
Can I ask something?
Your human tongue is tiring, but I will speak.{^n}{^n}What do you ask?
What happened to the old alliance?
The Kurn were once a mighty horde, led by a great chieftain. A strong chieftain. Dranghoul were honored to fight alongside him and spill foe blood on Asterkarn soil.{^n}{^n}But then came the steel warriors and flame powder of Erulan. We broke upon them like ice in Spring.{^n}{^n}In response, the blood shamans conjured terrible things to push the Erulians back. The creatures from the dark lands devoured all, dranghoul, Kurn and Erulian alike. When it was over, there was no more horde, no more alliance.
Can I ask something else?
Fascinating, but tragic.
What about the other dranghoul tribes?
Grah, their young suckle at the teat of the Great Annihilator. They are weak. Their shamans forget the old warnings.{^n}{^n}The Gurr tribe will never accept their dark bargains so long as Snarltooth is chief.

How honorable.
That's good to hear.
How did dranghouls come to be in Erulan?
Many dranghouls marched upon your lands with the Kurn, not all returned. Erulan lands were plump with plunder and their people fattened by soft winters, easy pickings.{^n}{^n}Some young dranghoul, driven by bloodfrenzy, abandon the bonds of tribe and seek personal glory, rallying grobles and raiding settlements.
Can I ask something else?
I see. Thank you.
Actually, nevermind.
Thank you, chief.
Grah! Watch where you step, puny human.{^n}{^n}These are dranghoul lands!
I will not overstep my welcome.
Your thane speaks boldly of the old ways. Those ways are dead!{^n}{^n}Why should I waste my life breath upon you? Human meat tastes just as good as boar.
The Kurn could be valuable allies again.
Grah! The old alliances are gone. Dranghoul must look out for dranghoul.{^n}{^n}Bloodbound came too with their empty promises. They adorn my tent now.{^n}{^n}Your words are weakness. Hollow and worthless.
Then how can I show strength?
Bah! Stubborn human thing.{^n}{^n}You have a death wish? You are in dranghoul lands, so do as dranghoul do. Prove your worth by Trial of Blood.{^n}{^n}Survive, and I will speak to your thane as equals.
Very well. Where is this trial?
The blood ring is nearby.{^n}{^n}Step inside and issue your challenge, human.
I will respect your traditions.
Should be easy.
I will do what I have to.
What does this trial entail?
Butcher our wild beasts. Face our champion in bloody combat!{^n}{^n}That is the dranghoul way.

I'm not ready for that.
I'm not ready for that.

This is hopeless...
I am proof that the Kurn can be your allies again.
Weak Kurn forgive old enemy and I am to see this as strength?!{^n}{^n}Maybe I skewer you myself and send the thane home with your head!
The Kurn have adapted, and so should you.
Dranghoul always look out for dranghoul. That never change.{^n}{^n}Dranghoul that adapt now suckle at the teat of the Great Annihilator, their minds lost to the bloodfrenzy. They forget the old warnings!{^n}{^n}Why is Kurn way better? Your words are weakness. Hollow and worthless.

This is hopeless...

This is hopeless...
I'm sorry. I will go.
Grah! Watch where you step, puny human.{^n}{^n}These are dranghoul lands!
I will not overstep my welcome.
