Adrian Lesaunt
Hello, friend.
How's the situation with The Omen?
It's still lurking in this place. Sometimes you can see a shade of it in the portals or in The Ascent, but it seems impossible to catch or destroy so far.
Maybe I should try my luck.

Good to see you are still in one piece.
That Shade that escaped must be The Omen. If Harold was only a vessel for it, I fear our task is unfinished. We must remain vigilant and see this through to the end. We will see Cairn cleansed of this corruption.
What's your plan?
Thanks to you, I have found my new destiny. I will honor it by guarding this temple to make sure The Omen can never escape this place ever again. I'll be happy to have you visit me anytime.
Take care.

...
...
The Omen is trying to ascend using the essences of life and death. Stop him before Cairn is flooded with Eldritch monstrosities!
Let's go.

I sensed the Omen's power grow when he absorbed that essence. If the second essence lies beyond the other portal as I suspect, we must stop the Omen before he can reach it.
Hurry!
Hurry up, we must enter the portals quickly before the Omen can absorb the Essences!
On my way.
So this must be where the Witch Gods once sealed away the essences of life and death after sundering them apart. If The Omen can reach these essences and absorb them, I fear we will be unable to stop it. We must enter the portals quickly!
Let's get moving then, we've no time to waste.
I need a breather.
All this corruption... this place is being haunted more and more by the creatures of the night. Whether The Omen is to blame for that or another being I do not know yet, but it seems to try to devour this place.
Might as well cleanse this place from all of its horrors at once.

I think Vanessa is right. I have read of a fortress such as this, having been built in order to prevent any but those within the Inquisition from accessing a temple containing volatile Eldritch magics. I think this may be the very same temple that the witch gods sealed the essences of life and death away in after sundering them apart. If The Omen can reach these essences and absorb them, I fear we will be unable to stop it. We must move quickly!
Let's go.
Such... power, I never imagined the people up in the mountains to have such control... to even open this eldritch gateway.
We are lucky they seem to know what they are doing.

I see you have brought back the Peakmane Seers. I can always count on you, friend.
Hopefully the gateway will be reopened soon.

I have faith that together we will prevail and stop the Omen.
I'll travel to Agarond's Peak in search of the Peakmane Seers.{^n}With their help, Ylgraf can reopen the gateway and we can chase after The Omen.

It is done. The Omen has escaped back to the Eldritch Realm, and soon, it will claim its dominion over life and death - yet, I feel hopeful.
How can you possibly feel hopeful at a time like this?
You saved my entire village from bloodthirsty bandits. You've slain beasts of legend - everytime you face impossible odds, you never falter. The old Adrian would've given in to despair at a time like this, but now - facing a malicious god who wields the power of life and death - I think he ought to be afraid of you.
Let's hope your faith is not unfounded.

The Tomb of the first Inquisitor... While the body of Harold Margraves was never recovered, this tomb served as a symbol for his legacy. Nearly every Inquisitor for the last 400 years was buried here. This place is teeming with spiritual energy.
Tell me everything there is to know about this Omen.
At the height of his power, Dreeg foresaw a terrible fate, a being of equal parts malice and cunning claiming the power of life and death, and in the process, tearing down the barrier between Cairn and the Eldritch Realm, spelling doom for both worlds. In order to circumvent that fate, the witch gods sealed The Omen away, ensuring the safety of their realm and the stranglehold on their power.
Fascinating, but not helpful. How do we stop it?
Assuming The Omen still wishes to claim the Eldritch domain over life and death, it likely needs to harvest the spirits of the slain Inquisitors. If it is able to claim that power, then we cannot possibly succeed. You have a limited window to strike down The Omen once and for all.
So be it.

Thanks to you. I finally have a destiny that is my own. I'm going to be the Lesaunt that helped kill The Omen. Speak with Ylgraf, the Peakmane Chieftain, so we can finish this.
That's the spirit, let's go!
I bring more news.
Yes?
I eliminated the Twin Omens in the Tainted Crypt.
Really? Even knowing those weren't the main threat in our world, it makes me feel more calm and confident for whatever we will face next.
That's good to hear.
