Vessera Gulder
Thank you, lowlander. You've done me a great kindness.{^n}{^n}I swear I will use this shield in defending my home from the Bloodbound scum that you faced in recovering it.
I'm trusting you.
Farewell.
I think you might be looking for someone else, lowlander.
Probably. Farewell.
My father's shield!{^n}{^n}My heart is racing to hold it again.
Here you go, as promised.
Thank you, thank you!{^n}{^n}You took a great risk on my behalf, so I promise you: I will honor my family's memory in defense of Kurnhold.{^n}{^n}Please have this totem. It's the only personal item I managed to take with me from my family home.
You're welcome.
You've set me up!
What?{^n}{^n}What happened?
Your family are a band of Bloodbound butchers!
What...oh...oh no.{^n}{^n}I was so sure they were all as good as dead. Now I see it is so much worse.{^n}{^n}You must trust me, lowlander. I had no idea. I swear!
Fine, take it.
Thank you, thank you!{^n}{^n}I swear I had nothing to do with what my family was doing. And I promise you I will use this shield in defense of my homeland.{^n}{^n}Please have this totem. It's all I could manage to take with me from the family cabin. Knowing what I know now, its appearance makes a whole lot more sense.
I'm going to trust you.
Farewell.
I don't trust you.
Lowlander, please!{^n}{^n}It brings me renewed sorrow to hear they are now dead by your hand, but I truly believed them to be gone.{^n}{^n}I vow until my final life breath: I will use this shield to defend Kurnhold from the Bloodbound scum.
Fine, take it.
Thank you, thank you!{^n}{^n}Please have this totem. It's all I could manage to take with me from the family cabin. Knowing what I know now, its appearance makes a whole lot more sense.

Farewell.
You are a Bloodbound traitor. Die! (Attack)
No, this is not right.
You are a Bloodbound traitor. Die! (Attack)
No, this is not right.
I'll be right back.
I know I shouldn't ask this of you. It's ridiculous.{^n}{^n}I can just get a new shield.
You've set me up!
What? Do you mean?{^n}{^n}Is the shield not there?
Your family are a band of Bloodbound butchers!
What...oh...oh no.{^n}{^n}I was so sure they were all as good as dead. Now I see it is so much worse.{^n}{^n}You must trust me, lowlander. I had no idea. I swear!
You are a Bloodbound traitor. Die! (Attack)
Fine. I believe you.
I don't know about this...
You are a Bloodbound traitor. Die! (Attack)
Fine, I'll get your shield.
I don't know about this...
Where is this shield again?
My family used to own a cottage in Utak Kunar, west of Ulo's Springs.{^n}{^n}It was a beautiful place, but conflict has consumed it.
Got it.
I understand. It's important to you.
Yeah...probably...
I couldn't help but notice you going in and out of Kurnhold, lowlander.{^n}{^n}You have the High Chieftain's favor, don't you? You are allowed to travel beyond the springs?
That's right.
It's probably not right for me to ask, but Ulo teaches us that renewal is possible if only we persevere.{^n}{^n}You have the chieftain's trust, so you must be capable. I...need someone that can enter the Ruins of Utak Kunar.
What are you hoping to find in a ruined village?
Well...thus my plight. We had a cottage there. It was once an idyllic place, but the Bloodbound's reach has stretched far beyond the Dread Wastes. The rest of my family was adamant that they would stand their ground, but I feared we would be overwhelmed and I...fled...alone.{^n}{^n}It has been many moons since then and travel north is now forbidden. There is no question that my family's cottage was consumed in the conflict, and the Bloodbound do not spare innocents. I beg you, I have only a few meager personal belongings and nothing to remember my family by. If you are headed there anyway, please check the ruins and retrieve my father's shield. It is a sentimental piece, but it should serve me well in the battles ahead.
I will recover your heirloom.
I'm not risking my life for a trinket.
Is this the shield?

You're out of your mind.
No thanks.
I'm sorry. I don't have time to talk.
You must be thinking of someone else.
I think you might be looking for someone else, lowlander.
Probably. Farewell.
