Use Common Sense

The rules are simple: use common sense, respect the ideas of others even if you disagree with them, no advertising or selling products, no spamming, don’t be offensive.

This is a game forum and when you’re here, you are a just a gamer, everything else is irrelevant. We don’t want to know about your race, gender, sexuality, religion, political affiliation, etc or hear your thoughts on anyone else’s.

Do not discuss drugs or criminal activities prohibited by law in the United States.

Do not disclose your own or anyone else’s personal information.

For safety reasons, we do not permit solicitations for sharing of information, game accounts or anything else that we feel could potentially put an unsuspecting user at risk.

Do not post pornography or link to it.

Perhaps most importantly, don’t act like a dick.

This is a mature forum and we don’t want to police people’s language or use of swears. However, you should be polite and not direct bad language at other users or overuse it. If people abuse this freedom and offend other people with their language, their posts will be edited or deleted. We really don’t like having to edit posts, so if this happens too frequently, additional measures will be taken.

We intend for this site to be largely run and moderated by the community but Crate Entertainment reserves the right to enforce and amend rules as we deem necessary. Repeatedly break these rules or act in any other way to the detriment of this community and you will find yourself banned.

Our goal is to create an enjoyable community for everyone where people can learn about our games and participate in the development through their suggestions and constructive feedback.

Finally, coming full circle, let us just say again - please use your common sense and don’t be offensive.

Thank you and have fun!

Etiquette

1. We don’t need defending.
We read almost everything and we can take criticism. Criticism is Not going to suddenly make us flip our shit and change everything that we are doing with our games.

2. Not everyone is going to agree with you (or us) about the visual direction, the gameplay, the features, the animations.
That is perfectly ok. No game is going to please everybody. Trying to force upon somebody that the way our games are doing it is the best is only going to end in a circular argument of subjective opinions.

3. Just because somebody posts on the internet does not mean that you have to reply to it.
Someone post something that makes you really angry? Don’t answer. Or take some time to cool off and post in a mature and constructive manner later. Senseless back and forth internet arguments that are based purely on subjective or emotional responses are a waste of your time and ours.

If You See a Problem, Flag It

Moderators have special authority; they are responsible for this forum. But so are you. With your help, moderators can be community facilitators, not just janitors or police.

When you see bad behavior, don’t reply. It encourages the bad behavior by acknowledging it, and will likely get you caught in the cross-fire when action is taken. Just flag it. If enough flags accrue, action will be taken, either automatically or by moderator intervention.

In order to maintain our community, moderators reserve the right to remove any content and any user account for any reason at any time. Moderators do not preview new posts; the moderators and site operators take no responsibility for any content posted by the community.

Terms of Service

Yup, legal jargon, but this is the world we are in. The forum has a Terms of Service describing your (and our) behavior and rights related to content, privacy, and laws. To use this service, you must agree to abide by our TOS.
