0.7.5 - nodes still spawn under water

Yup, same here, especially common with herbs growing by a lake and they definitely can’t be harvested.

v0.7.5b still getting willow showing as being in water even though it doesn’t appear to be onscreen since it’s not registering on the forager’s gathering chart. It’s only one, but I would expect one bar to be in the sources chart.

Yup. Still happening. Every Herb and Medicinal Plant node in my current seed is under the bank of a fish pond where the foragers can’t reach. Kinda broke my current game.

When you say current game, do you mean an 0.7.4 save? The patch notes say that specific fix is not retroactive to old saves.

Are you seeing this issue on new maps generated after v0.7.5?

i wrote fresh map, so yes! And title says 0.7.5

Yes. I started that seed to test it. It’s a 7.5 issue still. Unfortunately.

Hi Jayce135. Do you have the map seed and map size for this map? Or the .sav and .map would work as well.

If you need a map you might also be able to see it on the map I sent you as the screenshot above is from that same map. As for the settings for that one

Thanks. I’ll try it. Do you know if your foragers can path-to/forage those even though they are in shallow water? I.E. Is it more a visual thing or is it actually un-forageable?

I don’t I’m afraid Westfaliah. Haven’t really looked at that forager to see what happens when they’re collecting stuff. I assume they can since the icon for herbs is high and they’re in similar positions to the willow there.

Just going into the game to see if she does or not.

Definitely a visual thing.

She also gathered the herbs in that area.

I’m unable to repro any unreachable forageable resources due to being in water with v0.7.5c. Depending on the angle/rotation of the camera, the widgets showing where the resources are can appear to be farther into the water than they are. For example, these herbs are forageable:

They don’t look like they should be, but they are. Let’s rotate the camera from a different angle:

The widget appears closer to the shore.

The fix I made for v0.7.5 was to verify any forageable reource is on a pathable node. If you have a newly created game (started new since v0.7.5) where the villagers appear to not be able to forage things in the water, please attach the .sav and .map here so I can take a look. Thanks!

Hi West, this is the only map I’ve tested of 0.7.5c. Seed is 89904266767 Map size: Medium. Big lake. I did find another herb deposit on land since replying earlier but it is so far from my settlement, I can’t confirm if it is harvestable. The lakeside herb nodes (also the blueberries nodes) aren’t reachable by the foragers.

Quick addenda. On relaunching the game to grab the seed name and some screenshots. The Herbs are NOW showing up as being produced by the forager huts. Whereas this afternoon it was showing 0 produced, even after re-zoning and letting several years pass. So the fix may be working after all. Strange.
