I’m constantly getting the reminder to build more stockyards as workers supposely cannot deposit building materials, which is triggered by them dropping those materials constantly due to being attacked, fire, a job switch and all the other cases in which someone suddenly drops everything they are carrying for no good reason.
Please actually add a check for whether stockyards are full before triggering these messages, as mine as typically mine are rather empty and not far away.
Usually that message appears when at least 1 of your storages are full to the brink. But although thats a fact, the AI keeps storing in the same place, even though you have another totally vague right next to it.
Thats an adressed problem that dev team is probably working on for the next updates.
That doesn’t really apply here as none of my storages are ever really full, least of all the Stockyard it always mentions in the message, alongside the “Raw Materials”, so Wood, Rocks and so on.
Even if I include the Materials within the Trading Post limbo storage, the Stockyard would never be even half full.
I usually get this message after harvest time. But indeed i also had this when i ran out of space for gold. All of them were left on the ground…
Dont know for sure what it is, but I think id be best if we paused the game when this message pops up and try to investigate which materials were left on the ground by the villagers. Just so we can pin point whether its a bug or not.
I got this message because I had deactivated water in the stockyard. So each time there was a fire, the buckets would have no place to go and it would trigger this message.
A bit misleading. It would be better to have a message telling that there is nowhere water can be stored (either storage full, or storage deactivated for water).
That sounds like the most likely situation, as I deactivated water in the Stockyard, since I never understood why it had to be stored there anyways when it actually rarely ever was.
I guess it makes sense to have it stored there as a temporary measure for water dropped by someone, but it would make even more sense for water to be put back into wells (as extraction is instant anyways and there is pretty much always going to be a non-full well), or for people to simply drop stuff far less often, like only ever upon being attacked - items dropped due to job changes (or the sudden reflex of dropping everything to stock up their living quarters) should still be delivered where they were intended to go.
Well then here is a solution for this obscure problem:
Remove Water as an option for Stockyards and make Wells both the extraction point and storage for water, making workers put water back into it if there is some lying around for some reason, allowing them to “overfill” the well. (think buckets standing next to the well)
