0.7.5f Preservist Idle workers when work availible

So, I was checking up on my preservists as one area i still have a great deal of spoilage is with my fruits and veggies. I noticed that everything needed to make fruit preserves were in stock, and yet my workers were “unable to work”.

If you look at the storage you will see that the fruit to veggie preserve ratio is 2:1 which holds to the ratio or 1 fruit = fruit, 1 berry = fruit. 1 veggie = veggie.

I had fruit in stock but no veggies, so I had a hunch that they were holding to the ratio even if there wasn’t the material available. I lowered the veggie preserve output to 0 and they immediately when to work making fruit preserves.

They won’t deviate from the ratio if they are our of one product and have extra of another. they just stop until they have the missing product so they can hold the production ratio.

I did look at some other buildings to see if this held true for all buildings that produce with ratios and I wasn’t able to conclude it was true for other buildings. the Blacksmith look like it might be trying but possibly not holding strictly (would need to spend more time playing with that one to know for sure), and the smelter was defiantly chugging ahead with what was available.

I’m getting the feeling these sliders are all more-or-less bugged… Currently I’nm setting them either to all/none, or leaving them at 1:1; I don’t trust any of the other ratios.

Good thing I have two preservists, each one specialized in one type. Didn’t encounter this bug.

In my forge, I did see that even if I put 10 iron to 1 gold ratio. They still produce to a ratio of 2 to 1.
Maybe that’s the reason that I instinctively switched to dedicated buildings and no confidence in the sliders

Same, I try for “all or none,” I have two fletchers, one for bows and one for arrows. My foundries are dedicated. I haven’t built a preservist in my current town yet, but I will definitely build two. Thanks for the tip.
