I started a new game and selected pioneer as difficulty level. I then entered advanced settings and found them still being on the middle option. I manually changed all four levels to pioneer and exited the advanced settings. Arriving at the main screen, the difficulty settinghad now on its on accord moved back to the middle option.
This is not a bug.
You either use the default difficulties or advanced settings.

Hi, thanks. But if I on the main screen chagne from the middle option to the furthest left, the pioneer option, and then change to advanced swttings and back, should then not the main screen reflect either what I selected before opening the advance options, or the options that I selected in the advanced options? If I go into the advanced options and select pioneer in all four, and then go to the main screen where it says middle option. If I press play which difficulty level will be in play? The last one that was on the screen I pressed play from?
No, the settings simply reset to defaults. The default difficulties and advanced difficulty options are incompatible.
