It seems that Blueberry bushes, that are replaces, are not picked up by the Forager Shack in the first season.
If you move the work area, they should pick them up.
Doesn’t work like that does it? Upgraded foragers will only gather from those plants that they grow in their gardens; not ones that are moved close to them.
Sure thing, just like changing the worker, but you shouldn’t have too, that is why I wrote a bug report
Those are level 1 buildings, not the upgraded ones.
It may not be a bug, it may be just that the worker calculates their work load at the start of a “season” and if the resources aren’t there, they don’t pick up on them.
That might be a performance choice, instead of recalculating too frequently in a game where most resources don’t move around, it does it once a year.
Duh, brain failure me.
As someone working in IT enterprise environments, I know these cycles, but here I would expect a trigger firing from the build-complete message to all effected buildings in range, which could trigger a localized recalculation for affected objects, like the forager shack.
Are you sure the foragers’ work area covers the blueberries? From the given screenshot, it doesn’t look like it. If it’s not in their work area, they won’t pick it, no matter how close to the hut those resources are. That’s not a bug, it’s the definitional feature of a work area.
What’s probably happening is that the bushes are being picked by regular labourers. Open the harvest tool and you’ll probably see that the picked bushes are highlighted, while the unpicked ones are not.
