I assume you bound acid spray to blitz for 2x chance to proc? How is that working out?
I’ve also tried to include manticore in some builds and it’s great but most of the times the devotion requirements it has demand unwanted sacrifices.

Nah, i bound it to CoF. Procs much better, and before i use Blitz - and Falcon is bound to blitz.
Ah wasn’t sure it works on CoF. I know it works on Peerless Eye ability because i tried. Falcon on Blitz is also brutal.
Would love to know which auguments you use.
Also which Devotions you applied to what skills
Oleron’s Fervor for both weapons. *Essence of Ch’thon can be a good one as well if you also need extra chaos resist. The proc stacks with Assasin’s Mark and CoF, but I just don’t like looking at the two useless stats on it.
Survivor’s Ingenuity for all three pieces of jewelry.
1x Demonbane Powder, 3x Spellward Powder, 1x Outcast’s Warding Powder, 1x Mogdrogon’s Touch, 1x Mankind’s Vigil.
Your resists and therefore choice of Augments will vary depending on the rolls of your gear, so you should adjust accordingly. There are decent defensive augments for weapons and jewelry that give additional resists should you need them. Getting resists up is more important than damage if you plan on tackling the crucible.
Devotions : Tip the Scales can be bound to whatever toggle, it is chance to proc when you are hit so it won’t matter, same with Targo’s Hammer. Assasin’s Mark is bound to Cadence. Falcon Swoop is bound to Curse of Frailty. Blind Fury is bound to Blitz and it procs once in a blue moon. Even when it procs, it isn’t that good. Seriously considering removing the point entirely.
edit: I crafted my helm, belt, and medal in Homestead, so they have additional 4xaether, 4xaether, 4chaos resists on them.
Only have a few parts of the Markhovian set… How solid is the build lategame if you don’t have full set and all the items? Really wanna make the build, but is that doable semi self found?
thank you, jinraQ
It’s still very good. You get a large part of flat damage from your skills, not items.
You can do pretty the same with blue sets/items (that drop in huge quantities), just your stats (DPS, HP) will be somewhat lower.
Those 15% reduces resistance alone is better than any other augment. Do note, it not just increases DPS, but also increases ADCTH, due to lowering enemy LL resistance. An enemy, who was immune to LL, may be immune no more, and that’s a HUGE difference.
And for shield, i used Outcast Might. It not just provides damage (which you have tons anyway), but HP as well.
Not arguing, it is indeed very good, stacking with all our other resist reductions, also stacks with Ring of Black Matriach procs which I forgot to mention.
I simply don’t like seeing too many useless stuff is all. My own personal quirk.
edit: for people wondering on which resist reductions stack with each other, here’s a good post I found on reddit about it. https://www.reddit.com/r/Grimdawn/comments/4b49qh/resistance_reduction_cheat_sheet/
Thanks… Spent the last 2 days leveling, and starting to struggle a bit now, so was somewhat worried. Nice to know for sure, that even without everything “required” the build is still strong. Thanks
Well, Hotfix 2 is live, and this change is really huge in crucible. Reduced % Reflect damage from monsters in the Crucible by 70%
Aside from that though, it doesn’t feel like much has changed. Certain monsters that can reduce your resists can still be very dangerous.
Here’s a video of Gladiator crucible wave 140-150
I apologize in advance for “lagginess” throughout the video and only 720p, my computer is going on 6 years now and it really shows :o
Adding salt to my wounds, Grim Dawn even crash at the very end, so I didn’t even get my loot
Anyways, 0:06 clicked start, 4:44 finished. I wanted to try and facetank through as much as possible to increase (or decrease? What I mean is I wanted faster overall time) completion speed. Probably should still move a bit more in some parts of the video though, some of the glowing “crap” on the ground still hurts, and it’s always better to be safe than sorry.
Final three bosses were Iron Maiden, Fabius, and Zantarin.
Hope this video does jajaja’s amazing build justice, as I think it has one of if not THE best balance of DPS and survivability when it comes to crucibles.
Enjoy.
great stuff. what’s your next goal in terms of optimization for the build? nice to see how far it can go.
One goal I know I can work on is with actual gameplay. I can really clean up some mistakes you see throughout the video, mostly positioning and using everything when they are up. Did a pretty terrible job at that, losing a lot of dps just by not using Blitz whenever it was up.
Character wise, not really sure. With my current gear, the only tweeking left is probably with devotions. I think we can afford to lose some more dps for even better survivability, making it closer to “faceroll” and “unkillable” even in crucibles. I still die on occasions if I get bad mutator/monster combos and if I’m not paying attention.
so what weapon bases/prefixes/suffixes should keep an eye out for? and what would be the ‘ideal’ combination?
Ok, repeating the last time, now all in one post.
Bases:
Now, about mods. There are two MANDATORY mods, and you weapon MUST have one of them:
P.S. To prevent this silly question in future, i strongly advice adding this advice to OP of the thread (if possible).
i agree with Tyrant prefix but i dont with of the Abyss suffix, for my personnal taste of fury is the king here.
You need to reduce enemy damage, one way or another. It will make a HUGE difference between surviving and dying in crucible. And “Of abyss” is the most powerful mod to reduce enemy damage, and it also provides more powerful resistance reduction. "Of fury may grant you some paper DPS and movespeed, but it matters a little if you die (and you will).
Yes, normal game is so easy that you may do it with white weapon.
I finished the 150 wave gladiator as deathmarked blademaster before nerf, i will try soon with the witchblade but since the toughness of this character is at least 10 time superior than BM i expect it gonna be kinda easy, and i dont feel the need of extra reducing damage over of fury suffix.
