[1.0.0.4] Tri-element Saboteur 2.0 - A (mostly) craftable build. 15sec madqueen etc

I am currently sitting on lvl 56 and having issues in BoC, and sometimes larger packs in A4. In terms of using the hollowed fang, it doesnt seem like Jajaja is using it in his guide. I am using enchanted flint + haunted steel.

haunted steel is an upgraded to hollowed fang, so you’re good on that front… I’m assuming you have your firestarters not that your 56? The high DPS is part of what keeps you alive with this builds… If you’re still struggling, try upping blast shield and pneumatic burst for a bigger heal. upping searing light on flash bang to raise the fumble may help as well… are you using the other components he suggests? you might need to find some gear with +HP or higher armor too… Tough to say fully… I, personally, wouldn’t mess with BoC until later as the boss is resistant to your main damage type…

I have all of the components that he listed. My resistances are all pretty much maxed, and I have 98% armor absorption. I do have the daggers for the dps, and to be honest, the damage is not an issue for me at all. I mean pretty much everything melts, and the only time I die is getting 1-2 shotted by a pack of mobs. The boss in BoC would have died as well, but somehow he managed to kill me with the tornadoes, which did a surprising amount of dmg considering my resistances.

Then I must admit I am a bit confused. As soon as I hit level 50 with this build I was destroying everything. I had a haunted steel + enchanted flint in my legion firestarters, with my only legendary being golemborn greaves. With the bonuses from accessories I had 18%-20% lifesteal, and I had zero problems with BoC or log. Can you post a grimclac of your current build and give us an idea of what gear you have? Here was my build at 50 w/ devotions.

Here is the build I am running atm: http://grimcalc.com/build/9BRuQsa Looking at your build, yours is a lot more defensive. Maybe that’s why I am having issues.

You shouldn’t be struggling much in early elite with this build seems trange to me.

Could be a mistake, but if it’s not you really need to take the modifier for pneumatic burst it’s a huge boost to your survivability since it cuts the cd in half. You should take 2 point blackwater+mod for a huge decrease in physical damage. Those two things alone would be a huge boost. Could also one point flame+ulzuin’s wrath to just get some knockdown going against melees. Few points in blast shield couldn’t hurt either

Thanks for the build jajaja.

Can you comment on Attribute points please?

I just got to level 37 and been using Infernal Raider Fellblade (Enchant Flint) & Soldier’s Groble Death Effigy of Spellweaving (Flintcore bolt)

I put 10/10 points into Ulzuin’s Chosen and then started putting points into Nightblade 1/16 dual wield & 1/8 Point in Belgothian’s shears.

Should I be using two swords or two daggers at this point? What do you do with the Enchant Flint & Flintcore bolt? Do you just add them to the 1 hand for Enchant Flint & Flinctore Bolt in the off hand dagger?

thank you again.

I would also like to add taking concussive bomb can be a huge help with large groups of adds. Also, if you have it, Ulzuin’s Pyroclasm helps a ton with adds at 58.

As as a general rule, unless specified otherwise, all builds use enough spirit and cunning to get the gear and the rest are put in physique. There are exceptions, but generally it’s almost always true.

Two daggers with base fire damage are what you want if you are planning to switch to dual wield now. I recommend waiting until level 45-50, but it is up to you. Also, you can drop the points in Ulzuin’s Chosen and put them somewhere else. If you do switch, you can keep the flintcore bolt for groups of mobs or you can switch to a hollowed fang/haunted steel, your choice. Make sure you have pneumatic burst with the transmutor when dual wielding as well.

I have been looking for daggers with % fire or %elemental damage but so far I keep finding everything but those so I went with a Sword with 46% fire damage and my Off hand with fire damage % for now.

I am so lost in the skill tree. I am following the leveling guide provided and it has been awesome but I am level 37 and feeling like I am taking a lot of dmg & having to run away a lot while spamming greater fireblast. I am currently using a one handed sword Infernal Raider Fellblade with 3-7 Fire dmg/23% Fire Dmg/16% Phys converted to fire dmg/+18 Spirit (Enchant Flint)…My Offhand is seems amazing. Soldier Groble Death Effigy of Spellweaving 5% Crit Dmg/46% Fire dmg/37% Vit dmg/44% chaos dmg/3% physique/4% health/inc energy regen 50%/14% Skill Cooldown reduction/+2 Phantasmal blade/+2 Heart Seeker/+1 Military Conditioning (Flintcore bolts)

Would I just be better using a Magic dagger with 30% Fire dmg/23% vit dmg/29% Burn dmg/28%vit decay/15% pierce resist and I can add a Enchanted flint to it.

Here is what my points look like right now. Please help me fix it because I am playing in HC and I have been close to dying.

Nightblade I put a point in Dual Blade & 1 point in Belgothian Shears.

I am still really new and this is my first build guide so trying to learn. For Devotion when he said “Chariot” are they referring to Chariot of the Dead?

Biggest thing I saw was no flashbang. Get it, asap. Playing hardcore as a new player with this build can be difficult. This is the build I would switch to at your level.

As for the weapon, it doesn’t really matter if you aren’t going melee yet. If you are, a dagger with fire base damage is the best. The easiest way to get one before 50 is from merchants. Chariot does refer to chariot of the dead.

I am just curious why you put a bunch of points in almost all skills and not focus on a few?

Is caltrops that good? I have Flashbang & I mainly use Canister bomb & fireblast on most of my enemies but I constantly have to run around to not get killed. For my gear I have been focusing on trying to cap all the resist and so far I am 80% main 3 & poison.

Also why take all the points out of Ulzien’s chosen? Pneumanic burst seems cool but I haven’t spec’d into it yet.

I am not going to dual wield til probably level 50. I have mainly been looking for Fire Dmg % on pieces of gear & resist.

Just a little overwhelmed with all this content. I got through the Full Steps of Torment I think it is called and the final boss was really hard but I survived and killed him at level 40.

I appreciate all the help so anything to make this learning experience better would be grateful. I am playing on HC Veteran for drops & to try out HC.

Stun jacks, BWC with high potency, and searing light are all one point wonders to help you survive. I put one point into other skills because I like to put a point in skills I’m going to level later, you don’t have to. Ulzuin’s chosen only applies to certain skills and isn’t worth getting unless you plan to build around stun jacks and grenado. Get pneumatic burst asap. Greater fireblast does a bit of weapon damage, so some lifesteal can help as well. If you are still having a tough time, don’t be afraid to drop to normal until you level up a bit. You don’t gain much by doing veteran. Normal is faster and at the end you can switch to veteran and do BoC for 2 levels every 20 mins or so.

What is BoC every 20 minutes?

Bastion of chaos, a dungeon near the end of the game. You level up incredibly fast there.

My first character and having a ton of fun with it! A few missing items but getting there slowly  Thanks for sharing!

I’m currently at Level 21 for my first character - a Brimstone Gunslinger. I am thinking of shelving him and trying out this build for a little while though.

However upon reading this, I was a little confused:

Does this mean that the intended playstyle doesn’t really kick in until after Level 40? Do things change considerably, or just improve on a similar playstyle?

Technically you could dual wield from level 1, but it is much more difficult than just using greater fireblast.

I am so mad that I accidentally chose Death Vigil Faction. I wanted Kymon faction and I have been looking all over for a save editor to change this in Normal Veteran. I know I can change in Elite but I really don’t want to wait to do so.

Is there any way to edit my save to change my reputation to Kymon and not Death vigil? I really want to be in Kymon favor so I guess quest editor would be better if it exists

Is Kymon the correct one? I wasn’t sure since the build doesn’t specify and it recommends using haunted steel. I did choose Kymon though since the NPC mentioned that the specialize in Fire gear.
