While you are right about the FS, the Burning Justice proc is imo more important than the +1 demo skills. The proc increases the clearspeed even more, and there is not much of a difference vs nemesis bosses.
In the end, while not being BIS, I find the proc rly enjoyable. Not wanna miss it anymore.
I have a quick question for the OP or anyone else that feels comfortable answering.
I’m following your guide to a tee with no problems so far, however, I’m at level 49.5 at this point and I’m wondering at which point in my skill progression should I put the 12/12 points into static strike? Is that something I should do soon or wait until I’ve done everything else you listed in the 40-50 lvl’ing section?
Right now I’m at the point where I’ve done everything you said up to putting 15 points into Nightblade and 1 point into Phantasmal armor. So that is where I stand at the moment.
I plan to just continue following your instructions and then putting points into Static Strike after that? I’m guessing that is the right way to go because I saw an earlier post of yours that said that SS is now shit, hehe.
Also, one more quick question. How do you get away without any Aether resist? Do you just use your skill to avoid standing in the green stuff? Because I find I’m an idiot and tend to do just that. So far it has not gotten me killed.
Thanks for all your effort on this, this build is a ton of fun to play. The only problem I’m having is the knuckle on my right hand mouse finger is hurting from playing the game too much, lol.
20% reduced target’s elemental resistance for 3 seconds
+3% Offensive Ability
To get the points for it, i would take 2 from the spider, 1 from the revenant and 1 from Magi
We would lose
40% fire / 50% burn damage (magi)
10 cunning / spirit (spider)
10 offensive ability (spider)
8% chaos resist (spider)
Raise of the dead (revenant)
So in the end it’s a little less +% fire damage for additional resist reduction.
And we get some vitality resist instead of chaos resist.
I see the following resist reductions:
-20% Fire (Eldritch Fire)
-30% Elemental (Elemental Storm)
-15% all? (Open Hand of Mercy)
That would be a total of 65% unless i’m missing something.
Champion monsters in BoC have about 25% fire resist.
So we would reduce it to -40% fire resist.
Now i think an extra -20% reduced resist from Viper would give us a better damage boost then the +40% fire damage from Magi since we allready stacked +% fire damage over 1000.
But since i started only about 1 week ago i am not sure how important Raise of the Dead from the Revenant and the 8% chaos resist from the Spider are.
I’m a new starter and after countless tries of looking for a noob-friendly class , the saboteur and phys warder definitely takes the cake. I went for the sabo as I prefer DW.
It’s relatively easy to build it up from scratch since the BiS weapon are easily obtained. The dps was crazy , spazzing 10k crits at lv50.
Currently at lv78 breeze farming Elite for the rest of the BiS parts.
Also face some issue when transitioning into Ultimate , like the above poster mentioned about Aether resistance , got wrecked completely the moment I encounter one. Is there any component variations that could allow this build to have decent Aether resistance to survive thru Ultimate?
this is redundant with judicator ring’s -15% all. they are the same type of reduction and does not stack. They fall in the category of resistant amplification. so if an enemy has 50% fireresist. and u apply ur debuffs, thermite/elemental storm ETC and you take enemy to -50% fire resist. Then judicator ring would amplify the -50% by another 15% = -57.5%. viper does something similar.
so judicator pretty much preforms the same function as viper’s resist reduce.
There are 3 types of resist reduction in the game:
A. “-n% resist” -resist that does stack are different types of debuff. for instance, CoF and thermite mines are DEBUFFS that aren’t unique and can be stacked with different debuffs.
B. “-n resist” things like mark of dreeg, elemental storm, manticore,Blackstar, warcry don’t stack with eachother they fall into category of their own unique debuff.
C. “n% reduced resist” - things like judictator rings, black legion enchant, viper. these amplify the effects of the above. A+B are flat sources which will can take an enemy’s resist to negative thru substraction. C. is multiplication so C on its own cannot reduce resist below 0. but if its already below 0 from A+B, C will take it a bit further.
it depends on the wording.
how they stack:
You can have ONE source of B and ONE source of C. and as many sources of A as you want.
Once I hit 50 the question I asked earlier was quickly answered. I do so much damage now that I can obviously afford to wait and pick up Static Strike whenever I feel like it. The damage is insane! This build is lots of fun too, so thank you for that.
thx for sharing this awesome build
did everything the same as you posted
reched last week 85 with 63k dps and very happy with this build
have some Problems with madqueen due miss some items
keeping farming for shoulder/Hands and rings
So I finally reached 85 with this build and its my first 85.So with that, what would be the better choice as to farming for the items to complete the build?
Are there certain areas,boss’s?
Also you mentioned items that can be crafted. So in this thread are you able/willing to craft one or more items?Without going back to look I think belt and medal are only items I do not have already that are craftable.
for people adding me to craft stuff for this build - Mask of Infernal Truth also requires a Incendiary Casque not listed in graceful dusk. this can be farmed off trash mobs in cronley’s hideout
First of all thanks jajaja for this guide. After 1 week of hard work, im nearly done.
I started this as my 2nd char (first barely got 16k dmg -_-) the only item im missing is a closed fist of vengeance and and an Blood Sigil of Ch’Thon.
So i really have a problem with the chaos resistance. Its 80% in both setups.
But with my setup (Mark of divinity) i just come to 55% chaos resist(including void-ward-aura). So im wondering where you get the 25% chaos resist from?
Bec closed fist of vengeance only gives pierce resist.
The Ch’thon medal has 22%+ chaos resist. The chaos/aether resist augment he has on a piece of armor. If you haven’t noticed it already. Those two would get you to 80 resist overcapped I think
Yeah i have the 7% Aether/Chaos Resist in my chest. If thats what you mean.
I changed now one devotion where i get another 8% chaos resist (like jajaja wrote in the guide).
And yeah i know that the Ch’ton medal gives chaos resist. But like i said in both setups (also in the Mark of divinity one) he has 80% chaos resist. So im missing now 17% (-8% from the devotion i changed)
