First of all, sorry for my english.
This was my first character. I tried to make an hybrid pet/shooter build, but I realized it wasn’t possible, so I stopped playing this character for a long time. I started to play it again and made several changed. Some players advised me in the forum and I made some changes in skills and gear. Now it’s a good character with a fair survivability thanks to the lifesteal and a lot of damage. Shaman skills are used only for defensive purposes.
Barrelsmith’s set is underrated by most of the people, but it gives us 3 passives. That means 4 procs (3 passives and 1 for fire strike). I tried to maximize the autoattack damage and now it can clean enemies quite well as you can see in the videos. Don’t play dual pistols at the beggining. Use 2H shotguns untill you have a powerful autoattack because it’s easier to kite using a 2H weapon than using 2 guns.

Thanks to the high lifesteal level of the iteams, we can tank some bosses in elite, but take care in ultimate. Try to kite as much as possible and don’t let them stun you. Try to get all ulzuin set, except the weapon. I put the weapon in the guide, but if you are planning to get it, you’ll have to modify skills and devotions.
Some skills of the items goes to WPS and other don’t. Let’s see the passives and their damage:
Skills
This build uses few skills, so it’s very comfortable and easy to play it.

Grim Dawn Calc with item buffs: http://grimcalc.com/build/2SX7Z6y
Lets comment the skills:
Offensive Skills
Fire Strike
Our main attack. Maximize the skill as much as possible. Take care about mana. Using 2 guns and shooting quickly will make our mana decrease quickly. This skill has area damage too.
Thermite Mine
Very important skill against bosses to decrease their fire resistance. It’s not easy to use at the beggining, but as soon as you know where to place the mines, the game will be easier.
Defensive Skills
Canister Bomb
Use it for crowd control. It has a big area stun.
Flashband
Reduce enemy DA and can confuse them. It has a big area effect.
Blooddrinker
Gives us a lot of lifesteal. Usefull against lifesteal resistant bosses or in panic situations. 25% lifesteal for 8 seconds is a good skills.
Auras and Passives
Vindicative Flames
Speed, damage (close combat), stun (close combat) and health regen. No need to expend more than 1 point because we have items to increase points.
Flame Toucher
Damage booster.
Mogdrogen’s Pact
Increase our health points.
Aether-Ward Aura
+20 Aether Resistance.
Devotions
These are the selected devotions. Lets the the points:
- Green Crossroads: 1 point
- Purple Crossroads: 1 point
- Jackal: 3 points
- Akeron’s Skorpion: 5 points => Thermite Mine
- Falcon: 5 points => Duelist (Barrelsmith’s set)
- Ghoul: 5 points => Flame Touched
- Rhowan’s Crown: 5 points => Blazing Fury (medal)
- Solael’s Witchblade: 5 points => Crossfire (left hand)
- Hydra: 6 points

- Ulzuin’s Torch: 7 points => Fire Strike
These procs have a percente to be activated by the skill. Let’s see the result:

Leveling Guide
Use a 2H gun at the beggining. Dual guns aren’t good if you have to kite and you don’t have a lot of damage. You can use a Hollowed Fang component in the weapon to get some lifesteal and destroy the weapon as soon as you get a better one, so you only need 1 component at the end.
Use the atribute points into physics untill you need mana, but this will only happen at the time we switch from 2H to dual wielding, so be prepared for the increase mana consumption at that monen (reserv some atributte points for that).
At level 50-60, you can switch to dual wielding. I recomend 2 Hollowed Fangs, so you can make elite quite easy and tank many bossed (take care about stuns).
I used 47 points in physics, 7 points in cunning and 37 in spirit (can’t change them now!!). I think it would be better to expend the 7 cunning points in physics. We need some spitir because of the mana. I had to expend more points in spirit because I used to expend all the mana, active the elixir and be out of mana before the elixir were ready again.
Conclusions
The build is consistent. You can farm ultimate quite quickly. You don’t need to have three hands to use this character, but it needs particular gear, so try to get some pieces before trying the character, or prepare to suffer.
This character can play crucible too. I beat aspirant dying once (Iron Maiden deleted me in less than 1 second thanks to the crit mutators) but I did it again and it was quite easy. I didn’t try it in challenger yet.
