[1.0.0.6] All minions hear my call! – Solo summoner takes down Gladiator

Kind of just noise from me but unbelievable build! Great achievement!

I had to double-check and maximize the video to even see that it was Fabius. It felt more like he dropped in 3 seconds like trivial trash – crazy.

thank you for kindly responding everytime. Here is what i felt confusing and never understand why. there’s supposed to be a lot of really good players on the GD forum. But from majority of builds in this section, I didn’t see many refined builds.

hey, maybe you can join us in our chatting group? have you ever heard of QQ?

LOL…can’t agree more!

A such quick put down is disturbed by the awful resolution…

anyway, haven’t imaged such quick kill before, redefines insanity…Congrs man!

Yes. You did it.
This building will be debuf in the next version~~~~~~~

This build is strong vs. Mogdrogen mostly due to his bad path-finding, since most of the time Mog is not even attacking, and the build’s weak defense is not punished.
It seems to me that the correct way to nerf it (assuming a nerf is necessasry) is to improve Mogdrogen’s path-finding, or adjust how he fights.
The incorrect way would be to nerf the build’s damage, since this build isn’t that competitive in the Crucible, where imo most builds should be measured, compared to say, some common Witchblade/Battlemage builds (basically shield Soldier builds plus some buffs/debuffs from the secondary mastery).

I’m new to this game .
But always love to play as summoner.
Is it possible for author to make a leveling section?
Which skills/items to use to grow up nicely.

Thanks.

Awesome build, just switched my conjurer over to it and dont even have all the gear and am already kicking ass!

I also switched to this build and it works really well. The main difference here is that it takes advantage of the auras that each pet has, and uses them to buff the primal instinct swarmlings, the pets themselves, and most importantly the player.

It took me a minute to get used to the idea of just putting one point in the pets. But they don’t need more with gear bonuses, and it frees up the points you need for the auras and aspect of the guardian. The briarthorn aura gives 20% phys resist, and aspect of the guardian gives 12% more on top to the caster and all the pets. This (plus the maxed resists and will of the living) boosts survivability into the range you need for gladiator.

I’m three items short of the BIS, including one set piece and the spark of ultos, but even still progressing easily in crucible where I was getting one shot frequently before.

Great build, 5 stars :+1:

Hi mate,

For what I understand, and all others around me, we believe it is real hard to offer a leveling up guidance or something…the reason as:

This BD HEAVILY relies on the equipment you get so thanks to the looting system;), you couldn’t get all what you need, when you need them, even after you finished the Main. The Crucible provides an opportunity to shorten the time you might need to get all the Eqs but it might still take some decent weeks before you are satisfied. You need to adjust your investments according to what you get, not what your level is, sadly but it is true;)

For BDs that eqs play vital role, normally the endgame gear show would be sufficient, a guidance on leveling would be less efficient.

Ta,

Starting from scratch would be hard for this build, at around lv 35-40 you would definitely need the faction gears to continue. And withou the Primal Instinct relic it’s only half as good.

@HeyOcean

like the others have said. This particular build needs special high end gear
from different groups of items. To get that far, you will need a lot of playtime.

Of course you can start as a summoner, it´s pretty solid, even with green items.
It is good in elite-mode, but it gets difficult on ultimate (like it should be).
You will find a good guide here. I assume you dont play hardcore.
But a highend summoner, on the edge, will be far far away, if you dont have all the very special equipment.

regards Arkon

Hello ABCbarbecue,

thanks for the nice build. To use the lightning damage for the pets is a great idea.

Soo…like many of us who play a summoner, I have been using the Lazy Pokemon guide and I am lvl 35. I don’t have many of the required end game items for that build but looking at what is required for this summoner build it looks like I already have a substantial amount of the items needed. I think I might be changing build guides.

Interesting build. Thanks for sharing this.

I checked all items but failed to see how you get to 40% stun reduction in ult.

The build gets 15% stun reduction from the empty throne constellation. The other 25% probably comes on the crafted boots. Prefixes with stun reduction include Resolute, Thunderstruck, Unyielding, General’s, and Overseer’s. Suffixes with stun reduction include of Kings, of the Flesh Hulk, of the Hurricane, of Rapid Reflexes, and of Featherstep.

Also difficulty level does not affect stun duration reduction.

Edit: Just noticed he has a Leathery Hide on his helmet. That’s the other 25% right there.

Oh right, didn’t see the leathery hide on helm. Thanks Desk pop!

first of all thank you for the nice build. I am in the proces of gathering the gear and converting to it.

i was wondering why the choice for the Fire damage modifiers. There is an Enchant on the Amulet and Enchanted Flint on the Shield.

Also i was wondering how it came about the choice for just 1 point in the base skills of the pets, mine (lvl 66) are dying left and right still with max points in it (for health/damage).

I assume fire bonuses are there mainly for the bugs summoned by primal instinct relic, they ar epretty powerful an di have checked with my lazy summoner build, reassigning points from the crow to the hellfire skill boosted them a lot.

the fire bonuses from the augment and the component are for players, not pet bonuses. Why would they have that effect ?

The Hellfire sure, because it states it affects nearby allies.
