Hello, i’d like to play spellbreaker, melee type. I’m kind of new at this game (1st character), so i’d like your feedback please
The idea is to have a melee build, using the melee buffs provided by arcanist and nightblade skilltrees, and some defensives skills. No need arcanist spells, cuz main atk would be melee (except for callidor which has a kd pretty useful).
Main dmg type is cold/frostburn.
So tell me how i can optimize it please

Weapons: Crescent Moon (Shard of Beronath) + Deathmarked Decapitator (Coldstone)
Helm: Clairvoyants Hat
Rings: Alkamos’ Torment and Agony (Set)
Amulet: Nightchill
Belt: Bladebreaker Sash (i think thats its name)
Bracers: Voidsteel Gauntlets
Boots: Golemborn Greaves
Chest: Outcast faction cold dmg
Shoulders: Nemesis MI with +600 health and 3 or 4 resistances
Medal: Mark of Divinity
Relic: Belgothian’s Carnage
That should be about right off the top of my head. Gear isn’t BiS or anything, but generally seems to work ok.
Off the top of my head for Devotions, Giants Blood is on an Aura, and Whirlpool is on Shadow Strike. The reason I don’t have many points in the last node of Shadow Strike is that whirlpool disrupts the sleep effect, making it almost useless. I’m using belgothians carnage for the cooldown reduction. My Shadow Strike and Whirlpool cooldowns are both 2.5s, so they match up nicely. Each SS drops a whirlpool where it lands, and if I SS into a large enough group and crit, it procs Belgothian’s Carnage skill and I can SS again immediately every other time.
Blade Burst is used for Lethal Assault, and it’s used every 2-3 seconds to keep the Lethal Assault buff up between LMB autoattacks from Beronaths Fury.
It has Pneumatic Burst (which is great), Merciless Rep otoh isn’t a particularly good use of points considering the mediocre bonuses it gives, though it might have changed in 1.0.0.7 I haven’t bothered checking.
Hey Arrrrr, I’ve got a few questions about your setup if you have a sec?
-What pants are you using? (not list in post)
-Is “Nemesis” the right name on your shoulders? i can’t find anything on gracefuldusk w/ Nemesis in the name except the Nemesis Relic.
-what type of damage are you using? obviously Cold but what else?
-i know you said your gear isn’t BiS but would you mind breaking down why you chose certain items? or just a few word of wisdom on what types of items are key to keep an eye out for?
I have an 85 Spellbreaker that I really like playing but I feel like it’s lacking in DPS so I’m excited to give yours a shot. Nice build btw. Thanks for the help!!!
i believe he uses green pants, probably
he meant green shoulders from nemesis enemies
cold/frostburn, bit of piercing i guess
you should check these out, basicly all working the same, just few minor changes between them, so you can mix gear between themdepending on what you have
