So I’ve been playing this class for a while, currently in elite at level 68 and I notice one thing, oddly enough: The wind raptors can really mess up my day, despite capped lightning resistance. It wasn’t even a boss, just a group of white mobs near the Twin Falls rift.
For reference, here a link and picture to my character, because GrimTools seems to be a bit off, despite me having entered everything to the best of my knowledge.
I like to think that I’m doing fairly well, since the only deaths(3 in the main game so far and 2 in Crucible) I had were out of carelessness. Like running into a pack of Manticore Alphas while looking at the map. Or the aforementioned Wind Raptors.
All in all I really like this class and it plays very nice and smooth after I got used to the proper rhythm of skill usage.
Thank you for posting this build, I really enjoy playing it, even tho I don’t have the full gear yet
I play this build in MP while leveling, and sometimes things die to quickly and I have trouble hitting and regenerating. That will probably be less so when I play solo.
Hey, sorry for the late response. Was at my parents house for a while. Looking good so far, only the OA seems a bit low.
How are you doing atm with the build?
Glad to hear! Yes, you can hardly regenerate by adcth without any enemy to really hit.
Make good use of BoD and PB and it should be fine. Never played my WH in mp, so can’t really tell, how the build is doing in that regard.
Hey, quick question:
I finished Normal at Lvl 51 and farmed SoT (along with some rep quests) until 55. I guess it’s not worth it farming more for Shard of Beronath? Especially since i’ve heard it’s pretty rare? And of course it’s my first char?
I guess i just keep on going into Elite, right?
Yep, just dive into Elite. The dropchances increase by difficulty anyway.
Level 55 is perfect to start Elite difficulty with. First chars always suffer from not having needed gear.
Just go on playing and have fun.
Not bleeding characters 50 is enough to start elite bleeding axes and swords are easy to get you have atleast green or blue of that your using when you go elite as bleeding character
You can easily start into Elite even earlier, if you want to. But for a new player, 55 is perfectly fine. And this is not a bleeding WH anyhow (even though they are fun to play).
How could I make this build a little more gladiator viable? I made it to wave 100 gladiator crucible but died. Anyone can link me a skills/ devotion for a more gladiator viable build? I love this build so I don’t care about efficiency, I know there are other builds that can do it faster
Benn’Jhar’s Pauldrons, two Cronley’s Signets, Chestguard of Justice as Chest Armor, MI Pants and Exalted Treads for gearing. Mark of the Apostate could also proof useful, but dunno if it’s better than MoD for Glad.
hey man i’m just getting into grim dawn and i’m following your tri damage witch hunter build and i’m level 57 at the end of normal grinding treasure troves and idk if i’m misreading your guide, can i get shard of benorath from treasure troves in normal? or do i move onto elite and hope to get it at some point in the elite run? if anyone else knows the answer feel free to reply here ty guys and great guide btw man
Hey, glad you follow my build.
I’d advise you to move into Elite and go along with ABB+LA for the time being.
The droprates in Normal are abysmal and the SoB Blueprint can also drop in later difficulties.
You can try to put an Oleron’s Blood Component in one of your weapons. The granted skill will dish out a lot of damage.
You can also post a Grimtools link of your character here, so that we can help you individually with your char.
It’s possible to upload your character directly into grimtools by clicking the arrow on the top left corner. When you have steam cloud activated, your save files will be stored here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata(some numbers)\219990\remote\save\main
After you’ve uploaded your char, click the Link button beneath the upload button in grimtools. The shared link can then be saved and posted here.
wow thanks for the fast reply man, i don’t have most of my gear augmented because i was gonna run around and do that before i hit elite and the weapons i’m using are the bloodsworn sceptre/dagger, i’ll get blood of oleron but yeah any tips would be great i know i probably messed a bunch of stuff up lol i think this is the right link ? http://www.grimtools.com/calc/eVLmm9ZG
oh yeah last thing i forgot to mention i’m trying to get outcast’s favor all the way so i can get her augs before i go on, is it worth taking the time to do that in normal or should i wait til elite? thanks a bunch
Devotions are looking fine.
You really should put a point into the Pneumatic Burst Transmuter for the -5 sec CD. All the gear in my grimtools link can be bought at the Faction Vendors. Also, you have to start putting Components in all of your gear. Your choice of Augments was too offensive. Rather focus on resistances.
Can you already craft an Adept’s Spellblade at the Blacksmith? This would be BiS together with your nice axe. “Of the Abyss” suffix would be top. If not, just exchange your dagger with the Bloodsworn Scepter you have and wield this together with the axe.
You could try to craft yourself an Enchanted Chaos Implement at the Blacksmith with the “of the Abyss” suffix and wear this.
Put a Hollowed Fang into your 2nd weapon.
Do it in Elite. Don’t forget to buy and apply all the Faction Writs you can get to increase your reputation gain.
