I’m thinking about taking Ulo (+1 Order in Crossroads to get the 6 Order needed) instead of Oklaine’s. It gives a lot of resists and the OP said resists were hard to come by.

Also Cleansing Waters (100% chance to activate on attack) gives on-demand crowd control - would need to put a point into Grasping Vines, Drain Essence or even Siphon Souls to trigger it.

How essential is Oklaine’s to the build? OA/DA 50% damage… hmmm.

there’s one point left, not sure what to use it on but putting it in the first of affliction gives you 40% poison and vitality dmg.

Ravenous Earth: corrected an error in this skill’s scaling that had it stop at rank 22. It now scales correctly up to rank 26. Reduced the rate at which the skill deals damage and reduced Vitality damage scaling with rank

Just did a quick trial of La Cucaracha in Ugendbog and Lokarr.

Kupa was basically facetank with moving out of pools if they start to stack up. Took about a minute to down him.

Lokarr, I walked in like a dumbass without hoarfrost and got frozen ganged the first time around. After taking a bit more care 'bout Bourbons he was ok (like 3-5 mins of kiting around). This is most likely more a testament to lacking overstacking of res as he could reduce me to 50-60 % res. With some more stacking and better components (Hello Ugendbloom!), there shouldn’t be that much of a problem left.

edit: Just did a full crucible run (1-150) to test. 150 was Fabius, Lightning dude and Immortal. Used stoneguard and vanguard banner.

I could comfortably keep up the 10x multiplier for the whole time and never got close to dying. Last wave involved some kiting away from zantarin after being teleported around the place as I wouldn’t want to be shotgunned in the face. Apart from that, it went pretty smoothly.

In conclusion, I cant’t find a major difference. Only important thing to remember is to level Ravenous Earth to 26 instead of 22 and for me that results in basically the same sheet dps.

I’ve not accepted the patch download via Steam yet - not sure I want to lol

EDIT: Scratch that. FFS those Steam idiots downloaded the bloody thing without asking me and it’s now stuck half-updated even in offline mode which means I can’t start the game unless I upgrade presumably. Or just quit. Annoys me when I waste hours levelling a toon and some damn patch decides to nerf the bloody thing before I get anywhere with the limited time I have for this game…

While they buff all the fucking boring damn Soldier and melee builds yet again. ffs Crate please learn that those builds are seriously boring for many people.

if there was an option to delete the zzzzzzzzzzzz Soldier mastery from my install I would do it.

I just want to find one caster build I can play without it becoming un-viable due to some random dev decision. I think I’ll just head back to Median, they seem to understand balance better.

It got completely DEMOLISHED with the update, because slightly less damage and rate of fire means you won’t be able progress AT ALL.

To the devs: if you get the balance wrong then YOU got it wrong. Leave the damn thing be for a long time while people play out their builds and fix itg at a much later date. And do NOT ignore the levelling experience (since that’s just about all you have in this game).

What an end-game build plays like in GD is TOTALLY IRRELEVANT, since there is no end game. All you can do is farm and try to beat crucible - and once you beat it once… the rest is just another way to farm.

And for God’s sake leave some OP caster builds in the game - there are so many boring melee builds already. Soldier + anything has always been virtually OP. What sort of game is that?

I’m really pissed off that I bought this game and expansion. As a casual player I don’t have enough time to play a build up to 85 let alone 100 before some stupid dev decision destroys it.

Naff. If it wasn’t too late I’d get a refund from Steam.

What a gross over exaggeration. This build is perfectly fine and viable and a poster above you says he/she didn’t find much of a difference.
