[1.0.2.1] Tactician - Gunning down crucible, sound weird?

Hi JoV

Nicely progressing with the game, Lvl 60 now, ans only need to clear last part of AoM on normal. Here is my link

Looking for constructive criticism and what to bind skills from devotions on at this moment. I am working on changing Anvil to Wolverine.
Any other advice will be appreciated.

Thank you
Gogga

You can pick menhir’s will and goulish hunter as short circuit.
Also arcane barrier seem ok as defensive option.

Menhir’s Will needs a shield though

Menhir is a biased bastard. Look at me, I grant you my power regardless of what build you are running
Look at that juicy crit damage and total speed (Don’t pay attention to that minor health per second cost)

That would make a pretty good slogan for the cult recruitment poster

Well I dont get in much trouble with it, tho I cant recommend this build for hardcore. Or to be completely hones I cant recommend GD as a game for HC playing, to much RNG that can get you killed w/o giving you slightest chance to react.

Its looks solid

I took the liberty of rearranging some of your skills and devotions: http://www.grimtools.com/calc/pZrlv5j2 Skill points vise these are just small and not so necessary changes, tho you dont need FF on such high investment lvl this early on. Devotion vise however you should definitely dump anvil and crane and take something else. Also wolverine is not a priority in this moment, if you need more DA just invest skill points in field command, word of renewal or even military conditioning. Next step in devotion for you should be jackal and after that start hydra.
Your gear looks much better now tho you should definitely change that helmet.
Also you should try to boost your resistance trough augments, with emphasis on elemental vitality and poison/acid, rest is ok.

I finished my leveling. Now I need better gear :stuck_out_tongue:

Some lessons learned :

  • Reflect damage is a b****
  • Kubacabra is an AH*
  • Capping resistances is a minimum but far from enough. Still getting hit for more than 6-7k on some occasions (even with 29% physical resist).
  • Beware of shotgun type abilities (facetank…but from a distance…the guy as really bad breath!)
  • Beware of disruption ground effects (I think) : can’t attack = can’t heal => anticipate and create a “seal escape route”
  • Cheese terrain when needed : reposition your seal around a tree or something (breaking line of sight of others)

I just completed Challenger crucible 150

I felt that I needed Empyrion’s Guidance to buff my HP though (from around lvl 130) + circuit breaker from Goulish hunger. Damage taken is really spiky : life barely moves, you begin to fall asleep…and BANG! Two shot from nowhere :undecided:

My char so far : http://www.grimtools.com/calc/wV156MDV

(I dropped Chariot : it helped a lot while leveling but not anymore. Took Ghoulish hunger as circuit breaker + Owl (instead of Harpy) for 15% reflected damage reduction)

N.B. : damn, apparently, I miss 4 skill points. 3 should be from the “Hidden path” quest. And the last one, i dont know…

Always keep regular weapon attack on some hot key, when disrupted you cant use cadence but can use regular weapon attack and in most cases that is enough to keep you alive while disrupted.

You get one point from quest taken in coven refuge that will get you to face aethereal that possessed you at the start of the game. Quest is only available on ultimate difficulty.

Edit: you will probably stop getting spikes of dmg when your DA break 2.7k something threshold, you are getting crited on your DA level.

Correction:
Quest is available on all difficulties but the reward point is given only in Ultimate. Can’t recall rewards in Normal/Elite

Ok I see. Thanks for the tips! Still a long way till no crit then

Thanks ! Last skill point point will have to wait then, I’m only at beginning of act 6. Reward on Normal and Elite is an Aetherial Mutagen.

Moving fast Currently Lvl 70 in Homestead Elite

What should my focus now be Skillwise ( what should I max now, or should i spread it between 2 skills etc ), my resistances are all nearly capped, especially when skills are active and im standing in the seal, I feel invincible.
Can I Put the rest of my attribute points in Cunning ? ,maybe leave the last 5 or so for maybe spirit/gear requirement ?
Still looking for an upgrade to my shoulders, and maybe now time to upgrade Relic too - any suggestions ?

Thanx
Gogga

I just got my hands on the blueprint for Seal of Blade and, by Empyrion, I now know what all the fuss is about. The proc rate was crazy. And sometimes I don’t even know what’s procing it. I was standing well away from all the mobs so the aura definitely did not hit anything, and yet, the proc just keep going.

The upcoming nerf is well-deserved.

Skillvise: Aura of conviction, field command, break morale, military conditioning

About attribute points I cant judge in your name if you want more dmg go for cunning if you want to be more tanky than physique.

Next step as relics are concerned is reckoning after that decide weather you want to craft olerons wrath or to keep reckoning for crafting Doom when you reach lvl 90.

On the first post, that picture of your character with 3800 OA and 111K, is that max buffed with procs? I’m wondering, because that’s a lot higher than anything I reach unless in combat with some procs. It’s still higher, but within reason, if so.

Thank you for this awesome build  Having a lot of fun at the moment.
Maxed for now fighting form for the additional target (as I am starting from the scratch).

Lets see if I get this char finally to 100. Would be my first one

Its stated under the pic what is on.

Glad you like it

Can you give a bit more information how is your AoE without Lucky Bullet ring and Blades of Wrath from Assassin?
Those two in combination are simply amazing, i think without them the AoE is luckluster

Sources of AoE as mentioned before:

Beside that Jaxxon’s Lucky Bullet ring would be incredible dps lost since you lose -10% rr, % to phys dmg and some atc speed. About blades of wrath you can simply ditch hydra and take it, but again its not worth it imho.

  • Cadence 100% pierce: yes its nice but when you are surrounded its useless
  • Bursting round: ok i guess
  • Blind fury: it says “Melee weapon required”, wtf? If you are binding it to whirling blades, i dont want to do that because its going to be nerfed.
  • Storm spread: ok i guess

I agree for Jaxxons lucky bullet, its a huge dps loss, but can you analyze a bit more why you prefer Hydra over Blades of Wrath? its amazing aoe + tons of cunning.

All things that you ask are covered previously in this thread, reasons for picking hydra are stated in first post. Forgive me but I just cant write same stuff over and over again.
