Thanks for the guide.
I was wondering why you choose riftstone as a component for your off hand? Is it for Chaos Strike?

I was wondering why you choose riftstone as a component for your off hand? Is it for Chaos Strike?
I like to have mobility skill on my disposal, so I use riftstone on all builds w/o fast moving skills (SS, blitz).
Can you also post video about gameplay? It’s really cool idea of this build, omg!
Thx and sry but Im not making any videos :undecided:
So how are you faring in the new crucible with this? I am curious about this one particularly since it’s a laser build
Didnt even tried it, but personally I dont think it can do it w/o buffs and banners, with buffs and banners should be manageable tho Im not positive about it.
Hi
I’ve read all the pages and was wondering.
Is the set really that bad since its buff? I mean
There is alot of flat dmg and adcth and CRIT in the set.
As for -rr if U use Uro set u have the weaponslot free for a mythical mindwarp which reduces both % and flat All res on attack. Wouldnt thar make up for loss of CoF because they do stack? Im spellbinder btw
Thanks
Hi,
I didnt tried this build for long now and also didnt tried uro set after buffs so cant judge.
Mindwarp RR doesn’t work with drain essence, to apply it you need to use weapon dmg or in other words to hit with weapon or use skill that has weapon dmg component in it.
Thanks for the reply.
I did not know Mindwarp doesnt work with drain essence.
I will test it myself☺
Yes, and to get full effect, the skill should have at least 100% Weapon Damage component. If less - the effect of RR will be decreased accordingly (as well as all other weapon-based effects). For example, Twin Fangs proc will apply RR, but only at 22% of original value (so instead of 30, it will be 6.6).
Alright lets jam on this.

I havent tested any of this but I got bored with my dank one cabalist so I intend to respec and test.
I’m working under a few assumptions here:
22/22 decomposition is a very desirable dps increase
likewise you want 26/26 drain essence
conduit is a dps increase over vigar
So. If you dont need to hit those marks with DE and decomp, itemization gets WAY easier, and you have many more free slots to fuck around with res and other good things.
Things I dont like about this setup:
With 1.0.6 coming out I am not worried in the least about this thing’s performance in (ezmode) crucible.
thoughts?
Red text for start.
About rest I will add few things:
Imho DG route here is subpair to Ratosh rote survivalbility vise (you will probably get some real DPS increase from c speed, masive % bonus and crit when compared to loss of rr), but you are losing 8% life leach rr wich on paper doesn’t seams to be to much but in real gameplay when your major concerns are enemies with ~85% life leach resistance -8% is a loot. Couple that with lost of vigars % ADCTH, adsorption from possession and your survivalbility is gimped a loot.
Also heavy investment in second rite do not pays of for 18% weapon dmg, try to find better way to cap vitality resistance.
If you are keen to maximize c speed and take dying good devotion I would suggest change of class combo. Here is GT link of spelbinder setup, it was also capable of doing cruci with similar results, tho bear in mind that I didn’t played GD, much less any of these setups for long time thus it probably needs polishing and reworking.
And here it’seven more dogshit. This shouldn’t be much on your mind for a DE build
Yes, the leech RR was a concern I had, especially since I was knowingly gimping survivability via no posession. I was not really super depressed about losing rattosh RR since, at least versus your OG version, I was keeping par with the total RR available on the build (via the ring).
Basically versus your OG version I was going for maximal DPS within reason, hence the dying god. However considering how bad the cast speed is on my version, I might not have done a great job-- even with rolls its not going to be close to capped which is extremely depressing. To be fair, I am mainly a glove slot of cast speed away from capped (with another glove choice with like 15% cast speed, you’d be super close after dying god procs). Frankly, the fact that ‘drain essence’ gloves dont give any cast speed is ridiculous.
It is extremely cancerous to get to 22/22 decomp. Those boots are embarrassingly bad apart from the fact that they give +2 decomp. You can do it with a different belt choice (shadowfiend for example) but then you turn your OA to dogshit which ruins the potential of having dying god in the first place.
vit DE binder is interesting from a conversion point of view. Might play around with a few ideas there.
@fluff
Yeah its DE, but that wont stop me from obsessing about every stat
For DE Vitality Binder did you try Haunt Relic?
Also another thought about the survivability loss:
With 1.0.6 coming out ‘posthaste,’ I am not concerned about the loss of survivability in crucible, since crucible is getting nerfed super hard and the new buffs are looking, in short, fucking amazing.
For main campaign I wasn’t anticipating many problems with respect to non-god bosses. It is always possible to switch to a leech RR setup to cheese them if it would be a problem there, but since I was not really looking forward to playing this build in main campaign, and intended it as a crucible farmer (gotta get those new sets) I was not super concerned with stacking billions of survivability stats.
As far as crucible is concerned I have already rolled back lots of concessions towards survivability, in favor of dps, in many of my builds.
I anticipate 1.0.6 bringing about a clearspeed meta in crucible (more-so than in the past :D). gottagofast after all.
Yep, it is interesting indeed, tho dont expect clear speed meta from channeling builds.
No
This guy could break 200k sheet dps and it even had stronger rr than setup with occultist, not to mention that it leached life like crazy https://www.grimtools.com/calc/nZoGgY9Z
I would even consider rolling back maivens to 2/12 or 5/12, and harb of souls to 12/12 to make room for elemental balance on that binder. Its a shame that it is not possible to get a substantial amount of +arcanist out of a dreadwalker setup. A transmuted CT nuke investment on top of vit meteors is theoretically interesting if there were more conversion and +skill available. Dreadwalker slot usage also eats many interesting gear slots for a build like that (like preventing us from using decree of malmouth :furious:).
I’m envisioning a build with >50% ele or fire to vit as well as 100% aether to vit with anasteria’s hat and +4 arcanist on a vit DE build.
The pure ownage of something like that would definitely more than make up for the fact that you lose vit RR in a binder setup
About clearspeed meta, was more of a general comment than expecting a DE build to suddenly have godtier dps… Breaker on the other hand is looking very nice in crucible next patch with the gear requirement for daggers going way down. Pending testing I suspect you can set up without even needing TD in crucible.
Hm, re: skill allocation, I meant the first binder you posted, although doing something similar on the 2nd one also seems desirable to me to get to 12/12 elemental balance (even if 2/12 maivens is not possible there due to +skills)
Indeed leech RR cheese is a very funny way to go about things, and is in fact one of my planned solutions to test against gods with the upcoming blood knight set.
I intend a setup similar to https://www.grimtools.com/calc/O2Gpr8nV with the blood knight set. Don’t mind the shoulders or amulet, I was using them as placeholders to simulate some flat damage conversion. Haunt is of course the intended switch for such testing. Having literally 8 billion lifesteal with the blood knight set and M edge of death definitely seems to encourage leech cheese.
I havent exactly figured out how to fix oa/da issues with the blood knight set yet, but thats more because I’m lazy and dont want to work by hand (dont have that nice tester calc to play with numbers like some do)
I am trying to get this setup to work but I am facing an odd problem…i am 1 spirit point short of the 724 needed to equip the off hand…i’ve gone over my set up and yours several times to try and find where this point has fallen off but i cant…i have the exact same attribute distribution and gear, yet still 1 point short in spirit and cant equip the off hand
any help is appreciated
