Idk, like I wrote I could swear I ADCTH from him, but if those passive stats I found are right, noting can help you life leach from him, he has whooping 535% life leach resistance.

You are understanding correctly point in second rite is merely to cap vitality resistance.

No it means it is a bug. 535% resistance is insane, even Mogdrogen doesn’t have that much. Heck even Ravager doesn’t have that much and that moron deals Vitality damage.

Thanks for the reply. I didn’t have anything specific in mind, just wasn’t sure if it was maxed in your build out of habit or deliberately. I admit I likely undervalue the mastery points.

One other question that came up for me. I had seen some discussion in the thread about ADCTH on gear. I had thought that gear based ADCTH only worked with weapon based skills? Or does it work for DE and other such skill because they already have ADCTH? Just trying to improve my understanding of some of the mechanics.

Again you are correct, basic ADCTH works only trough weapon dmg, but here we were talking about skill based modifications on gear that are giving, or in this case increasing, ADCTH on a skill itself, ie gloves and amulet in this build are adding skill modifiers that are increasing % ADCTH on Drain essence.

On a side note, for anyone leveling this build, a Bonespike MI from Trog bloodmages is a very nice boost for Ravenous Earth. Not exactly specific to this build, but if you are struggling to find a good weapon while leveling, like I was, getting a Bonespike with some Vit or Poison damage would work pretty well. Credit to Chthon’s Taco Bell Defiler for that idea. Maybe most people know about that, but I’m still learning all the new MI’s and their skill modifiers.

In hindsight I should’ve clicked the gear icon, didn’t see that before.

I have few questions there.

  1. How reliable is Foul Eruption? From what i heard, it procs only on kill with RE, and has small AoE, so i wont work where you really want it to (read - single tough bosses).

  2. Is there a way to get enough energy sustain without Tree of Life? Because if 1. is correct, i would be nice to have Manticore, and it’s impossible to have with Tree of Life, too many points required.

Yep, it procs only on kill. In cruci is more than reliable cuz there is always abundance of trash mobs that are going to die from RE, but even w/o it you have enough RR to go around. Also its somewhat important to have twin fangs on DE, more ADCTH and energy leach.
Probably you could get enough energy sustain even w/o tree of life, but considering all the things you would have to ditch and change just to get somewhat more reliable flat RR, I dont think its worth it.

for energy leech, why dont just smash an enemy with Uroboruuk’s Reaping or something? Why do we used that relic, after all :).

From what i observed, DE has so insane life leech, that it doesnt really matter whether you have that leech from twin fangs or not. Vendigo’s Mark is different, cause it deals damage over duration, and will restore your HP while you’re moving or something.

And if Foul Eruprion works only on RE kill, it’s way too unreliable, as DE is out main damage dealer after all, right?

  1. Uro’s Stats are perfect for the build due to %CS and %HP. Alternatively you can use Impurity for more ADCtH (due to Aether -> Vit conversion)

  2. You can never have too many heals for a channeling caster:p

  3. Foul Eruption only works on kill yes, but it’s reliable in crucible only. In fact it is very effective there. Think of it as similar to Judicator Ring proc, those rings are good in vanilla but their true potential is achieved in Crucible
    FE is shit in main campaign imo, your changes suit main campaign and not crucible and certainly not zero buff crucible

Yes, i noticed that while leveling a character for your build. FE just sucks badly in campain.

Sadly, i still dont have Dreadwalker’s Tome (lol), despite farming Gladiator Crucible over and over again… I even got the helm dropped (helm itself, not recipe), which saved 1 Kilrian’s shattered soul for me (not to mention full shitty Uroboruuk set). I’ll try this build when i get that damn offhand.

Any update on possible videos and such? Not just for this particular one but for other builds also.

Relic is good mainly because of CS that this build desperately needs and leaching energy w/o having to stop your channeling spell is totally different lvl when compared to leaching energy by having to stop your spell in order to do so.
If you want to do no buffs and banners cruci every % of ADCTH you can get is more than important.

But ofc feel free to change this build to your liking, personally I find it more than nicely rounded like this.

I dont think that anything significantly changed that could require update and unfortunately Im not in video making business.
