Pretty sure he uses the Rune for the extra Lightning Damage it gives to Heavy Ordinance.
Not sure how you’re going to get that Commando’s Malmouth Arcane Girdle since it doesn’t even seem to exist according to my searches in GD Stash.
I think this build will be okay without the commando prefix regardless. The big shebam is the conversion. EDIT lol I meant the +3 to mortar trap, not conversion.
Commando prefix was mostly for the extra +2 to Mortar Trap giving the belt +5 Mortar Trap instead of just +3.
Actually I took it mainly for the +3% defensive ability, sorry been a while since I looked at this build skillwise I’m not bothered, scales of benorath gives +2 to mortar trap and +1 to all inquisitor, which gives me more than enough room to keep it 26/16.
I wonder if the commando thing with the belt is just a GDstash error. If not, heres an updated (still not perfect) version.

Mostly stuck with Cmak414’s first theorycraft but just using the pistol instead of the scepter.
1.1.1.0 Update
After much testing both crucible and SR, i decided mortars are better with a bit more tankiness and sustain. Im able to do cruicible 150-170 in around 8-9 mins (a better pilot can probably do better than I - i’m pretty rusty, just came back for FG). I tried to build with as much ADCTH as possible but didnt work, so i went full sustain with heal procs. See results below:
Uploaded some random SR 75 runs so ppl can get an idea of what playstyle is like. (also I haven’t seen too many ppl posting higher SR runs, so I dunno how my runs compare to other builds).
Rollback deleted my build update, I may redo it later when I have time.
However, I uploaded the grimtools again and the videos of SR75+ and naked cruicible.
would you mind updating it? I’m pretty new and don’t know how to fill in any gaps from the current build
Hmm… Looking at Pyran’s Ruminations in GD Stash and very hard to tell if any of it is an upgrade over what we have now. The offhand can take the place of the medal but you’re restricted to just 6 Mortar Traps. Upside though is that the traps will live for about 33 seconds.
