After placing a grazing area, the grazing area stays lit up. Even after doing other things, its present in the video for at least an hour.
And what steps did it take to get it stuck in this manner?
It was at 3h25m, you can see the stable is demolished by the raiders, but the grazing area is marked, while I have no animal farm selected. At 3h30m you can see it stays up, even after a select. At 3h:47 you can see it is rebuild and still has a yellow mark, without select.
This glitch is still present in 1.0.6B.
It happened to me by accident. Then I played around with it a bit, and managed to reproduce it consistently for 2 barns + 1 stable in mere seconds:
First you need a slow machine and a large city (for my old PC 500 pop is “large”; you might need a bigger city depending on system specs)
Then, to reproduce the glitch:
- Left-click on the barn
- There’s a split-second lag between the click, and the barn UI window opening
- Right-click anywhere during that split-second delay
The building will be “unselected incorrectly” and the yellow square from the grazing area will remain visible until you quit the game.
By spamming left+right mouse clicks on my mouse repeatedly, I could reproduce the bug in mere seconds for each of the 3 buildings on the screenshot above.
