[1.0.6.0] Nature's Avenger - A Phys/IT Titan - the 2h reign begins - Gladiator 150-170 in 11 min

%Dmg of course. Scales very well with the giant bat you wield

But having it on Doomforce or Ground smash makes for better trash clear too.

When FG comes I want that leap rune!!. Totally binding Maul to it

The overall damage felt weaker compared to other Tier 2 constellation procs like Reklcess Tempest and Fissure so I always thought it could use a buff or two. Surprised to see it actually being useful anywhere

56% WD + some Physical damage built in, having 1 second recharge, used with Two-handed massive weapon. It must perform good. It’s actually a lowcost version of Blind Fury.
Pros: built-in Phys damage, while Blind Fury have Trauma, Bleed and Pierce.
Cons: on-attack proc instead of on-crit leading to lost damage if you attack one target, 14% less %WD.

Reckless tempest on this build particular feels like a cheap tazer. looks cool though

Not Tempest on this build

I meant Tempest is good for Lightning, Fissure is good for Fire similarly Boar and Maul seem weak for IT and Physical respectively

@Veretragna I meant it’s weak compared to other Tier-2 procs. Not weak in itself

yeah all in all it could use at least 20% chance to proc

Fluff, I’m a relative newbie (Been playing about 2 weeks.) can you explain how you did your devotions for this Warder? Thanks.

As a new player is this a good build to start with?
And if so how do i start playing it? (leveling and such)

It depends, do you want to level fast at first or grow into what the build is from the start(what I do )

If you want Fast you can level with Primal strike+transmuter thunderous strike. Use Ectoplasms to mange energy better and get Rhowan’s crown devotion (Hawk+Toad+ascendant crossroad)

Or you can level with Devouring Swarm + Vulnerability + Bloody pox and lots of ectoplasm again. Should melt veteran.

As for the actual build, Get Savagery, Rush Feral Hunger and get it to max % proc chance 25% get a big Weapon (TRoll bonemashers are nice) and Ascendant devotions, Assassin’s Mark, Bear, Hawk for OA, Kraken. Stuff like that. You can get ghoul too if you have a hard time at the start.

Afetr you get Tenacity of the Boar and 1 pt in upheaval i’d start working on Soldier to get Zollhan and Oleron cause you need OA. MAx Filed command and Squad tactics too.

I have a question related to this - I seem to be at a point where I won’t be able to unlock two of the constellations - Kraken and Dire Bear. This is my devotion setup so far (plus Wraith completed, not shown):

1 more point in Crossroads Ascendant opens up Oleron, but I don’t see how to unlock Kraken and Dire Bear. How did you get around this?

You need to take a blue cluster such as Hound to get a few more blue, then you can complete Kraken which gives 3 blue.
After that you can remove Hound but the completion from Kraken will sustain itself, an often overlooked aspect of the Devotion system by people starting out.

With Kraken completed you can also take Dire Bear, which then lets you get Oleron.

Theorycrafting in this community needs a serious uplift, it’s too bad community is so small and no ladder type so people actually start caring.

Not many well crafted builds are made, and the few there are the comments are more congratulating each other on making something than talk about heavy theorycraft.

Shit, i haven’t even seen a single person actually estimate the true value of OA vs other stats a single place in a single thread.

Nice build here though, not fully optimized but nice build particularly the proc stacking works well.

Well, thank you? I think.

You are also welcome to uplift the theorycrafting community and shed light on optimizing this build:)

Unlikely

That’s because it’s always build-dependent and usually kind of self-explanatory. If you get 5% more RR on a build with 180% RR, you’d only actually see a difference of around 2% consistent damage. On the flipside, if you have +110% Crit Damage, getting more OA would result in higher crit chances, which in turns gives you massively higher burst damage.

All stats are important. You want RR, you want % Damage, you want OA. The key is knowing where to stop with what stats. It’s almost never a bad idea to stop stacking OA, however.

Its hard not to stack OA ,cause it came together with offensive devotions
And running around with 3400 feels better with these big yellow number even if I know that real-dps returns are laugably low

Ah OK. I knew about adding then removing points but thought perhaps I’d missed a step here or mis-allocated a point somewhere. Thank you

I do like a detailed guide too, but I also find that builds with a good solid core and help with skill/devotion allocation give you the opportunity to understand the game a little better if you’re still learning. It makes me think about allocation as opposed to just blindly following a guide, which means I end up learning and understand more as a result.

Poor Lokarr. First his status as powerful Celestial being was trashed almost as soon as he was introduced as a character players can fight. Now Khaop is seeking feverishly to overtake him as the most disappointed being in all of Grim Dawn. When will your miseries end, Lokarr?

Taking a serious note now: Between getting a solid build concept (whether through equipment sets or choosing to build around a particular skill), getting the secondary equipment to support said build concept after the set pieces are taken, and wrapping up resistances, there isn’t a lot of room for getting the exact OA number or something similarly trivial. The equipment in this game is too spaced apart that people can debate replacing one with another willy-nilly because whatever gains you get in one department is nullified by losses in numerous others.

Superfluff has done a great job providing us concepts that work, and it’s not exactly a simple task to obtain every Mythical equipment (not even beginning to discuss double-rare MIs) to even begin discussing such builds in the first place. Many of the best theory-pilots prefer to take multiple working build concepts rather than take the “traverse parallel universes in 0.5 A Presses” amount of obsession it would take to make a single build perfectly optimal. Even then, a good part of whether a build will succeed or not depends on player ability.

So after crafting a few BOM unsuccessfully, I realize you need to win the lottery three times to get the 5 same skill item.
So the question is I am not going to be doing crucible, will be doing mainly nemesis and dungeons in main campaign.
Will this build work with another medal?
And if so what medals will be a good replacement
Thank you in advance for your reply

Direwolf crest should be an adequate replacement.

I have followed the guide, skills, gear, stats and devotion are all the same. The most damage ive dealt is around 573k and i feel like i cant tank a hit like you do at all, i just melt. I dont know what im missing. :frowning:
