[1.0.6.1] Belgothian DW Chaos Melee Witch Hunter - wait, what?

None of these legendaries are “farmable” but they are random drops. Meaning that there are no specific monster or boss that you can kill over and over again to get them.

What malawiglenn said. It’s like that for every late game build. You can only try to substitute it by wearing other gear pieces, which fit into the build idea. That usually ends up in the build persorming decent, but not as good as decked out.

Do you have recommandations for beginner? Kinda really new to Grim Dawn and i love melee flashy builds

scroll down to “Builds for Beginners” then click on spoilers.

Really appreciate that but i’m already a 71 Witch Hunter and there are no beginner Witch Hunter Builds :C

It’s gonna be tricky to make a good beginner friendly melee witch hunter so your “best bet” is probably to start a new char make that your farmer build.

I can give it a try to make some kind of budget melee witch hunter for you though

That would be awesome, but if noone can come up with something.

I will most definitly reroll

Here is a SKELETON build template for a lvl 100 witch hunter dual wielding and cold damage
https://www.grimtools.com/calc/lNkWLAdN
lots of wildcard items etc

here is a SKELETON build tempate for a lvl 100 witch hunter dual wileding and bleed damage
https://www.grimtools.com/calc/a2EGRylZ

same as above, its just a sketch/template

You want like 12k health, loads of attack damage converted to health (and attack speed for the cold version), maxed resistances, armor (at least 2000 and 100% absorption) you also want stun and slow resist… basically, lots of everything LOL

What is good about witch hunter is that you have many free resistances: elemental, acid, physical and chaos.

Offensive and defensive ability you want at least 2.7k each.

use https://www.grimtools.com/db/ to see where you can get the items (that are not wildcard so to say)

The kymon badge medal can be shopped for at blood groove secret vendor, so you can reset him to get some with good stats (like defensive ability, some resistance etc) they always roll with high chaos damage.

Make sure you use augments and components in all items

All attributes to physique. Cunning and spirit just to meet equipment requiremants. You can only resest attributes with a special potion so try to keep a buffer of at 5-10 points until you know what to do with them.

Thanks ill try one/both

I added some information. I have listed those as two beginner/budget trickster builds (do be played, tested and documented by me at some later point) but I guess witch hunter can be decent (will not get as much life and heal as a trickster but still…)

You can also use my original Chaos Witch Hunter build. You need to craft yourself a Master’s Spellblade of the Abyss though. This should be easily doable.

Alternative Gear:
This build is very versatile gearwise. Almost every item can be replaced by at least 2 optional ones, except Master’s Spellblade. The alternatives may result in a less efficient gameplay though.

Weapon 1: Damnation, Basilisk Claw (skill into Lethal Assault, ditch a few skillpoints), well rolled Bloodlord’s Blade, Runed Dagger of Dreeg, Death Omen
Weapon 2: Plaguebearer’s Master’s Spellblade
Head: Eldritch Gaze, Cowl of the Venomblade, Clairvoyant’s Hat, Mask of the Harbinger, Hood of Dreeg
Chest: Devil’s Cage Hauberk, Vestments of Dreeg, Demonslayer’s Jacket
Legs: Wraithborne Legwraps, well rolled Sect Legguards MIs (even better than ELoV), Demonbone Legplates
Waist: -
Feet: Golemborn Greaves, Voidwalker Footpads, crafted rare Heavy Boots (even better than Elite Rhowari Greaves)
Hands: Voidsteel Gauntlets, Viperfang Grips
Shoulders: Better rolled Benn’Jhar’s Pauldrons, Mantle of Dreeg
Ring 1: better rolled Cronley’s Signet, Viloth’s Ring, Entropic Coil, Gollus’ Ring, Lifegiver Signet, Alkamos’ Touch of Dread, Rage of Alkamos
Ring 2: Alkamos’ Touch of Anguish, Wrath of Alkamos, see above (Ring 1)
Amulet: Pestilence of Dreeg (Plague of Shattered Souls Affix), Black Gem of Dreeg, Empowered Wretched Necessity
Medal: Mark of Divinity, Badge of Mastery, Blood Sigil of Ch’Thon, Black Star of Deceit, Undying Oath
Relic: Haunt, Necrosis, Malediction, Agrivix’s Malice

Just keep replacing the basic Legendary items with Mythical ones.

I cleared Ultimate AoM with this build, so it still holds up. If you hit a brick wall, feel free to switch to another toon.

Regarding seal of the void, when looking at the devotions it asks if you want abominable might set to burning void (right hand) or burning void (left hand) does that effect the proc rate? and if so would a riftstone be better in the other hand?

Hey there Jagermeister,

I was looking at your wondefull guide because I wanted to try a Witch Hunter, and while playing with the devotions in grim tools, I noticed that Oklaine’s Lantern has the following inscription: “requires a scepter, dagger or caster off-hand”.

Does that mean that the constelation is wasted?

Multumesc frumos.

Look more precisely at the right hand weapon

Ahh. Touché!

I thought they were both physical.

I’m just starting out this chat, so I don’t have the gear. I was looking at the levelling bit, and that constellation seemed weird on a “DW melee character”.

Cheers.

Just quickly leaving a GT link in here: https://www.grimtools.com/calc/1NX41l8N

Trying out new Abomination, still not sure if its better than Dying God + Korvaak.
