The harp’s main purpose is mana regen? OA and DA is always nice but still… Nice build nevertheless!
Yes, it was taken initially for energy regen, in MC it helps greatly.
It is possible to replace Harp with Stag or something with white/blue points since we have Tree of Life, but if you look at remaining constellations, Harp looks best: proc with OA/DA/trap resist (especially useful with our Markovian CDR), elemental resistance, free energy - other constellations are simply worse than Harp.
Nice build, i need to work on my witchblade so that it dish out more damage. Might need to take your route with the Beronrath Reforghed.
Would Sigil of Consumption be of any use, if you use that with the belt Gladiator Distinction? So you have both Chaos and Vitility converted to Physical damage.
It is possible, but you need much more skill points to do that. And with Gladiator’s belt it’s basically -1 to Soldier. That’s a not good idea
only 2h Leviathan WB get away with Gladiator belt. Or a class combo that does not have soldier therefore does not lose much without Oleron belt
Came back to the Markovian Witchblade after taking a break from the character, and realized the devotions can be optimized further.

Some notes:
- [li]Even with an energy pool as low as 1200, even with my version using Earthshatter Treads to maximum effect, Harp is just barely enough to keep up 100% energy sustain. Outside of Crucible.[/li]This makes Tree of Life obsolete.
(The obvious exception is if you can’t trigger it reliably in, say, multiplayer, because everything dies before you can even get hit. Potions obviously help in that regard, as does simply not using Earthshatter Treads.) - Bull is no longer needed to reach Tree and thus gets dropped in favor of Fiend because it’s just better in every way with Beronath.
- Exactly 4 points remain, allowing us to finally grab Ghoul again. This means getting rid of Haunted Steel for an increase in damage, and adding in a second Seal of Might for increased overall performance.
I’m using Earthshatter Treads because I love the item in campaign, and Leather over Armor Plate in the pants because resistance reduction when fighting Kuba can go to dick. I’m still unsure whether Hallowed Ground or Chains of Oleron is better for chest, but I’m figuring %DA might be a little more efficient since Oleron’s Rage already stacks heaps of %OA.
I’m still somewhat unhappy to only reach 3.2k DA instead of my usual target 3.4-3.5k, but it just doesn’t seem to be feasible without giving up build-breaking amounts of damage.
I’m currently torn between Shield Training and Fighting Spirit, and unsure whether putting a single point in Zolhan’s Technique might be worth it. Though for the latter it feels like it just unnecessarily slows down Cadence procs.
Proof that the damage is still excellent:

(Perm buffs + Deadly Momentum & Overguard)
In other news, Slithblood Tincture is sleeper OP.
Added a video with Lokarr: 57 seconds kill time.
No build changes needed.
I do not miss Olerons belt that much on this one

(its pretty similar to DW DK that mad_lee posted a few days ago)
Added Mad Queen video, kill time: 17 seconds.
Update.
I made some tweaks for this build to be able to use Fevered Rage.
Enjoy the adrenaline gameplay!
Hello everyone,
I’m at lvl 69 at Fort Ikon at the moment and I’m getting my ass kicked very often.
I was wondering what could I improve until I’m able to farm for the items showcased in this thread.
https://www.grimtools.com/calc/4NOAOQaV
Resistances are a little deviated from reality in the grimtools, don’t know why. And it’s showing skills and attributes available which I don’t have any.
edit. in case it helps, i think is mostly physical attacks that butcher me. But I dont find anything with more armor.
Hi!
Resistances in game and in grimtools can vary up to 30% difference, that’s ok since the game uses special mechanic to randomise item stats and grimtools always show reference values.
Grimtools shows extra skill and attribute points because you can get them up to level 100, it shows all remaining points in the game.
Well, up to your build. It lacks basically everything now.
- Use components in every piece of gear.
- Craft relic, Guile is the best choice until you can craft Oleron’s relic and then Doom.
- Stack attack speed, armor absorption and resistance reduction skills.
I made some tweaks for you, rebalanced skills and components:
https://www.grimtools.com/calc/pZrqOJLV
As you can see, every piece of gear now has component in it.
On level 70 you can use faction augments to improve your resistances vs various types of damage.
Currently you need to find gloves with attack speed, better physical weapon and better physical shield for damage.
Skills: you need to max Break Morale, then Overguard, then Field command, then Shield training.
It would be nice if you craft, trade or find items with bonus +1 to Soldier to achieve more freedom in skill distribution.
Hope this helps mate
Hey veretragna,
I can not thank you enough for your time man, those tweaks look amazing, Im gonna expend the next minutes adjusting my gear and skills to what you show me. I’m currently at level 72 now, defeated Loghorrean only by kiting during that poison thing he throws from his mouth.
I’ll be working on your recommendations on what gear to upgrade as well. Hope you dont mind if I come around in the near future with some question or two.
Again thanks.
Sure, I’m always here and I’ll always help
Hey, how are you?!
I have to admit I’m here again sooner than I expected.
I think my character met his nemesis, I’m stuck at Ekket’Zul (elite), and cannot advance in the history line. I have watched videos, and tips on how to fight him, what to avoid when to kite and all, and I just can’t kill him.
In a good note, I managed to get my hands on a shield (as you recommended), that gives me physical attack & attack speed, and some gloves, that provides attack speed.

As I can’t go forward, I think is the first time for me to go farm some equipment. What place should I farm? At what level/gear should I try Ekket’Zul again? My resistances are almost full, what do I need to withstand this guy’s attacks?
Thank you
edit, also I happen to be allied with Kymon’s Chosen, as per the augments here I think I need to switch to Order of Death’s Vigil in Ultimate, right?
You’re lvl 70+. You can equip augments now. That’s your priority: farm faction rep to be able to buy armor augments and equip them on every piece of gear. Gotta cap those resistances, especially fire - or you won’t beat Ekket - and aether too as AoM is just around the corner. Homestead and Kymon’s have some fire resistance augments.
Accordingly to A Call to Arms challenge I slightly redesigned this build, so it can complete Crucible with no buffs + 1 banner.
I expected this build to manage it. It’s funny that clear time is almost identical to the one with blessings. Good job. How hard was it?
This build does it super easy in general, but… how to say it… you cut through Crucible with ease and then take oneshot from pest like Larria.
Yesterday I died alot due to bad luck - Valdaran teleports you under 2 Aleks meteors on wave 170, crappy mutators (like minus total damage, attack speed, total speed, toughened). Maybe it was my bad luck or it just was a late night, but unexpected deaths happened.
There are no threats for this build in Crucible except ones I can’t predict or counter, they just happen. I’ll play with it more to confirm or disprove this.
Here’s my build that i have upgraded with the Beronath sword and wanted to keep my own take on it. I have completed crucible 170 with 4 banners, but haven’t timed on how long it took.

Is using Markovian’s Advantage not interfering with the attack speed. I read at the time, that Markovian is using a slower attack speed animation, and it would result in a overall slower killing?
