[1.0.7.1] Insane Light's Vindicator test - 5:22 Gladiator

Greetings All,

Firstly note: This is not an official build post, merely a recent test which I wish to share.
Trigger warning: Double rare greens used for test.

Intro

Recently, with the posting of John_Smiths Master of Winds Vindicator using Wind Devils, this had me thinking about my Light’s Vindicator with hard capped WD + ST & it’s potential clear times in Crucible. I’m not much of a crucible pilot, so I kindly asked John_Smith to test the build, which he did.

Results

More user friendly build.
Replaced (once in a blue moon) green rings with Malmouth Arcane Seal & Myth Quickening Gem (choices should be self explanatory).
Doing this, however, drops WD hardcap (24/26). This can be capped by finding a good green ring with desirable stats & “of the Hurricane” suffix granting +2 to Wind Devils. Else, forgo the 4-piece Light’s set bonus & replace gloves with Cindertouch (Also +2 to WD). Will also have to rearrange resists to suit.

Changed Augments on Rings & Amulet to “Skyshard Powder” (Ugdenbog Faction). Rearranged a few augments on gear to suit resistances.

Note: Yes, the offhand is presented as a double-rare. However, the Yeti Horn comes with +3 WD & +3 SBoE. Find one with a suitable prefix / suffix to suit your needs.

Devotions remain unchanged.

Have you tried Malmount arcane seal ring? Maelstrom scale quite good at ultimate levels.

Great build, saw it before it got posted here (when John was testing it). I think those green rings are a bit of an overkill when you can make a build without those impossible greens and it will perform more or less the same.

Great build, very fast and tanky enought.
What about mana with Asterkarn dagger spec, 3-5 points should be removed from Arcane empowerment and added to Mogdrogen’s pact. I did it later and it solved mana problem without damage loss.

That’s a quality run.

I tried to make this into a conjurer plus the idea of having 4 totems and 4 devils instead of 5 devils and 3 totems but hit the wall with too many limitations (run speed, da, aether/chaos res, nothing to proc stuff effectively - all the stuff that inquisitor has and occultist doesn’t)

Sigatrev ran a 4:41 with his Hypercharged Pet build.

I have seen an arcanist build (i believe it was a CT build) run a 4:55. I’ll link the Video if I find it again.

@Bevdogg: not to pollute the Compendium thread, you should indeed make a little guide. This a very good build and should be kept for the memory all future generations (and I was looking for it yesterday and couldn’t find it there and that bothered me). :stuck_out_tongue:

I have a template for a guide on a lightning caster Vindicator (in the same spirit as my Callidor Tempest and Rune of Haggarad build guides for beginners) in preparation (was thinking about starting to finalize it next Friday).

Perhaps someone would like to have a preview and give feedback? PM me in that case.
