Glad you were able to recover this build if it was lost in the recent rollback–it’s on my list to make when I get all the gear. Currently playing a re-specced-from-Octavious auromancer tactician per your build–you saved her from oblivion, and she is a blast to play.(I don’t enjoy Crucible or SR–she is a great farmer in regular game, including both expansions and all nemesis bosses.) If so, it’s still very good for all campaign content but fell short in SR. In the lightning area, my Procadin did a better job, though not stellar.

Now I’m torn between this Auridin and the Procodin…I would really like to try SR if only to see if I could do it–and of course, for the goodies. I like lightning builds–a sucker for all the flash and bang, I guess. 
Nice Tactician alternative. You should try 2 or 3 points in Discord (Cadence transmuter), that should increase your damage. Auradin is way better suited for SR, if you want to farm it. Procadin is way more fireworky if you don’t suffer from epilepsy of course 
yeah, I have a still viable lightning warder from 1.0.2.1(jajaja) who can almost bring on a seizure. Thanks for the advice on Discord–will try–and the Auradin soon.

1.1.2.0 has arrived. The build is very slightly nerfed: the medal (135 to 70 elemental damage Aura of Censure) and a small nerf to Resilience. And a slight nerf on Aura of Censure. Nothing alarming though.

Yes, I did. The rollback has erased a good part of the discussion here. The grimtool link is what I settled for after trying other set-ups.

It depends on what you like to play. Inquisitor: Word of Pain (for AoE) + Rune of Haggarad (Single Target) is the best way to go for leveling.
OahtKeeper: for this Paladin, I played self-found and chose a S&B with Aegis of Menhir and Vire’s Might/Judgment as my main damaging sources, depending on the items I got.

I think it would be more consistent than an on block proc, when the build doesn’t even have any block recovery and a pretty low block chance.
That question was asked but deleted (f— rollback). I didn’t choose this shield because I don’t like green items in my builds if there’s a good blue/purple alternative. And here, the shield is almost perfect: %damage, %phys res, good CDR, a proc, +1 all skills, the resistances the build needs and 50% better damage blocked.
A well rolled double rare Scarab could be better though, you’re right.

any suggestions for leveling a paladin from zero with this build in mind? Is it advised to switch to the Auradin at a later point in time or is it doable from the beginnig?
It’s very gear dependent, damage comes from procs and auras.
Both Inquisitor and Oathkeeper are good for levelling, it depends on what skill you prefer. If you want to get used to the Auradin build, start with S&B Oathkeeper. Vire’s Might + Aegis of Menhir is very nice for levelling. Word of Pain is very good below 50 too.
