[1.1.4.0] Vanilla Ice: 9s Mad Queen, 7 minute Cruc. Glad. 150-170, no greens Trozan Spellbreaker

Awesome. Looking forward to trying it.

Recorded that speed run of Ancient Grove just to show how fast this new spec is in Main Campaign. But of course met Kuba half way through, and fighting him in campaign with cold caster is always tough. Still pretty fast.

The video.

I have been tinkering with Callidors Tempest by removing Wrath of Agrivix but still leaving it linked to Time Dilation.

This removes the 5 second timer from CT and allows me to mix it in between attacks after casting Mirror for better odds of faster CDR.

The only (potential) loss/drawback is the knockdown, which actually knocks down few if any truly dangerous enemies.

Is there another real function of CT that I am missing? Thoughts?

Nerf and all, I still love piloting this build.

can you add some sort of devotion leveling guide for us new players?

I don’t think I would recommend this build for new players. Complete Trozan set over no set is a huge jump in power.

And leveling phantasmal blades will be very, very weak until you hit level 94 as Mythical Speaker of the Dead converts 100% pierce to cold damage. The final state of this build has, according the Grimtools average, and will vary according to rolls, 1970% cold damage vs. 170% pierce damage. I wouldn’t even use phantasmal blades until level 94.

I am not sure why you would ever use untransmuted CT here. Transmuter is taken to bring chance of Aeon’s proc activation to 100%. I would of course use Flash Freeze if the skill worked.

It’s all straight forward there. Just remember that you can buy back devotion points from special NPCs (ones that help you with reallocating skill points).

If you have all the level 94 gear ready I would recommend it to new or new-ish players, why not. Without the gear there is no build of course. And for leveling one should use completely different spec and I wrote leveling tips for those kind of Nighblades many times including in this thread I think.

That’s kind of my point…

I probably had over 1000 hours before my first Trozan Starkeeper (non-mythical) dropped before AOM released, and I still only have one.

It took me hundreds of hours post-AOM before my first mythical Trozan Starkeeper dropped. I now have three after a strange few days when 2 more dropped, and that took a very long time too after I got my first one. I still only have 3 of them.

How can a new player possibly have the mythical set when that requires up to hundreds of hours of 100 level character farming? By then you are no longer a new player.

1.1.1.0 patch update

Decided to update this build one day before Forgotten Gods come out since it’s one of my main characters and there are no items/devotions/augments in Forgotten Gods this build could really use.

New iteration does 8 minute (should be faster on a good computer) Crucible Gladiator runs pretty consistently with decent piloting so now you can do 3 runs during the duration of 3 blessings with a help of Vanguard banner. Energy should be managed somewhat, probably some minor investments into Mental Alacrity won’t hurt. Added two videos, did die on a third run when I felt too brazen on wave 169 and decided not to kite at all (also haven’t been really playing the game in last couple of months, so bit out of practice).

Overall, very happy this build is on the lower end of top-tier builds.

Here are the videos of my runs

Shattered Realm update:

So hitting a wall at boss levels after Shard 50. Here is the video of boss level at Shard 51. Pretty unfortunate layout and nemesis combination, as you can see, not much I can do there.

On a plus side, new movement teleport rune can serve as an Aeon Hourglass activator which creates pretty neat movement dynamic together with Shadow Strike and saves two points from Callidor tempest. Updated Grimtools too.

Updated this build for 1.1.2.5. Iskandra’s Amulet is back on the menu. 7 minute Crucible runs are now possible on a good PC. Build still not easy to handle. Grimtools now shows just one spec and it’s green free.

Here is the video of my fastest Crucible run with it.

nice build

1.1.4.0 patch update

Redesigned this good old spec. It’s still not easy to play, but once you master it it’s pretty rewarding. Tested Iskandra’s amulet versus new cdr Starfury and damage-wise they are similiar but Iskandra has much more desirable resists. Added a video of 9 seconds Mad Queen kill and 6:58 Crucible run.
