[1.1.9.7] Cold DW Caster Infiltrator | SSF Beginner guide, leveling & Advanced | All Celestials | HC friendly

not really, check this out. Mantle w/o any affixes  Infiltrator, Level 100 (GD 1.1.9.7) - Grim Dawn Build Calculator
changes in augments, components, skills and devotion

It doesn’t as it’s at 6 / 12 if you disregard the bonuses so no problem increasing it if needed

Not sure which bonus to Night’s Chill you mean but you should be able to increase it if you really want it

I’ll check out the adjustments for the mantle, very much appreciated.

I messaged you on the build thread on discord so I don’t clog up this thread, and I’ll update this post with my current build+stats and the adjusted version in a bit.

Overall I would just like to say thanks again, this is a very nice guide & build, it helped me through end game and farming on my first character. It is very satisfying to have ā€œfinishedā€ a build after 600 hours, especially one this capable.

Oh please feel free to clog this thread, I actually prefer it here.

Thanks, my builds are not perfect but I try my best.

Oh! I figured out what you mean! By having +2 from the belt to nights chill, I keep it at 10 and use the newly spare points to keep chillsurge at 20. I didn’t make the connection there, sorry about that.

I’ve messed around with the components/augments and while I can readily cap everything at 80, getting decent overcap on pierce/chaos/vitality/poison would require rearranging augments on a case by case basis, which ya know, fair enough. I’ll see about getting better affixes so I don’t need to adjust all resistance augments for specific celestials.

Not sure what you mean by decent but in the link I gave you I only have 20 Vit res from the of Shadow affix and ok overcaps for every resistance. But maybe you have lower than average rolls on legendary pieces. You can probably get close to max resistance on Badge of Elements.

Thanks for the awesome build!

One question: What is the priority for the attributes?

@tqFan

Hello, Im a new Player and followed your guide (lvl 32), i remarked something:

Here i cant remove the Blue because ā€œAmatokā€ is related to it, can i remove that later when the build is finished or how it works, for the moment i have added the red one to conitinue but this point is missed later on. Can you explain please.

Thanks in advance.

Amatok devotion gives 1 blue and 1 green affinity after completion, so you will have 7 blues total. Because Amatok requires 6 blue, you can remove 1 blue from Crossroads.

Here you can see Devotion Progression in Devotion page, just move a slider at the bottom (nice feature, by the way :+1:).

Thanks for making this progression, I’ll add it to OP.

Thanks, have you made this right now or it was before in the grimtools build, didn’t noticed that :muscle:

I need to respec again now hope I have enough mats for it. Totally new into game :upside_down_face::see_no_evil:

My pleasure :slightly_smiling_face:. But it shows Pierce Infiltrator build with no progression.

Oh, thanks for checking, I don’t know how it happened

Have a question ā€œShadow Strikeā€ is mostly used for mobility right?

I would only 1p it if it were just for mobility. It’s used for damage too. And devotion proccing.
@DoNotAimAtMe Might be just for mobility while leveling for some time, don’t remember now.

At the moment I have only set one point for mobility as described in the guide, but I will continue to follow the guide closely and also use it for damage.

I just don’t get along with the ability at the moment when I always beam into the enemies

So I beat the game on ultimate at lvl 84, my gear is so middle good, where I start now grinding for the good stuff in this build?

Can all be farmed on SR, I need some tips how and where to start now

Still progressing to lvl 100 for the last points :muscle:

Please import your character to Grim Dawn Build Calculator so that I have better context.

Actually Build:

Focus on getting to level 100 and after that on getting this Final beginner gear for now: Infiltrator, Level 100 (GD 1.1.9.6) - Grim Dawn Build Calculator or this Infiltrator, Level 100 (GD 1.1.9.6) - Grim Dawn Build Calculator
This will be plenty of work for you.

More details in Final gear → beginner and in Grim Tools pages of these items

  • helmet - looted in specific location in Ultimate

  • weapons - vendor farmed for great double rare affixes (1 - 2 hours should be enough) after getting to 100

    • have a few million iron bits just in case to buy a few good double rares

  • rings - combine different methods of getting them
    • you can find blueprints for them

    • maybe also random drop

    • use one type of blue set transmutation to swap between them if you have 2 of the same (from crafting for example)

    • also use 2nd type of transmutation that transform a piece of some high level blue set into a random piece of another blue set

      • this will give you some chance of getting a ring from this set or a piece of Eastern set

  • amulet - faction gear - craft till you have above average stats

  • shoulders - MI farmed from specific enemies after getting to 100

  • boots - common random drop / crafted

  • medal - faction gear - reset the shop until they sell you one with above average stats

  • belt - like shoulders

  • relic - you have Vendetta already but craft Ignaffar’s Combustion when you get its blueprint. Craft till you have +1 to Rune of Hagarrad bonus on it to be able to reach 26 Hagarrad unless you (20% chance of getting +1 Rune of Haggarad completion bonus)

  • gloves - looted from specific location, might be tiresome to get there so some alternatives are mentioned in Final gear → beginner

  • Eastern chest / pants - combine 3 methods of getting it
    • random drop

    • transmuted from another pieces of this set
(even gloves that we don’t use or if you have i.e. multiple pants)

      • you transmute till both of the pieces have Maximum Physical Resistance (which is 5%)
    • like rings trying to get a piece using the other set transmutation that coverts blue set item into a piece of another blue set

I’ve completed building my Chillwhisper character following the guide, reaching endgame status.

Here’s my current build on Grim Tools

I’m looking for optimization suggestions to maximize this build’s potential before the upcoming DLC. Are there any improvements that experienced players would recommend to push its performance even further?
