(1.1.9.8) HC Beginner Primal Strike Druid + Leveling guide - suitable for first char

Hi guys, sorry, but I’m new to the game, I have a question to ask…
I’m at level 21 and I’m allocating the devotion points … and selling what was written:

  1. crossroads - 1 point on eldritch (green)
  2. spider -5 points
  3. Sailor’s guide - 4 points
  4. Widow - 6 points (bind the arcane bomb proc to Primal Strike)
  5. Kraken - 5 points
  6. Viper - 4 points
  7. Behemoth - 6 points
  8. Ultos, shepherd of storms - 5 poins (bind hand of ultos proc to wind devil)
  9. Crossroads - Remove Primordial (blue)
  10. Crossroads - 1 point in order (yellow)
  11. Tortoise - 5 points
  12. Stag - 4 points
  13. Lion - 3 points
  14. Crossroads - Remove order (yellow)
  15. Tree of Life - 6 points
  16. Korvaak, The eldritch sun - 1 point

I can’t understand how to get the blue point to move from spider to sailor… (since I only have green points)
what i miss-=?

Welcome to the forum. :slightly_smiling_face:

You put a point into the blue node in the Crossroads constellation same as you did to open up the green on.

I imagined that, but seeing that it wasn’t the case in the guide, I didn’t understand why!
So, after unlocking the constellation, can that point be removed? Or is it not in the guide due to an error?

Yeah, you can refund it at the spirit guide. Doesn’t look like it’s required to reach anything else.

Yes, it actually says at point 9 to remove it. Looks like putting it in was forgotten when making the list.

As said you can refund devotion points at the Spirit Guides you find scattered around in the game.

Just want to say thanks for the build!
The last time I played Grim Dawn was back when it was released; I recently decided to start a new play through with DLC’s and wanted a build which didn’t require a lot of clicking. :joy:

I followed most of the build but ended up making a few key changes:

  • Prioritized damage and attack speed over some health regen based items.
  • Using life leech to get bonus healing from the damage and attack speed boost.
  • Fateweaver’s leggings for the temporary resistance boost (Prismatic Barrier offers a massive gain!) and dodge.
I haven’t found Feralmane Legplates yet so I don’t know how well they hold up in comparison.

The end result holds up incredibly well to sunder and I can pretty much face-tank most SR75 bosses.
Each shard takes ~4 min to clear at SR70+ and I can usually reach the bosses with 7-8 min left on the timer.

Still not 100% done with the build or items, since I’m working my way through FG, but here’s the current state:

Yo, first playthrough here. I’m not understanding Devotion points spending following this guide. The issue I’m having is I’m keeping up until level 30 devotion spending. After reaching level 40 and above, how do I spend points to get behemoth without any ascendant points? And why suddenly on level 30 the tortoise disappears?

just spend one point on chaos in the crossroads and you’ll be able to complete the behemoth

Hi, assuming you meant devotion points, you can get Behemoth by first getting 1 Red in Crossroads. After you complete Behemoth, you can then refund the Green and Red crossroads via the spirit guide

Lmao, I was literally 1 second late

It was that easy hah, I don’t know why I paid attention to ascendant for this. Thanks for help

Have you tried using Ugdenbog Sparkthrower instead of the Korvan Spear? More range and clear bc of the 100% pierce

i theorycrafted as 100% melee, but i think it works just fine as ranged too
