You could put Blind Fury on Guardians potentially.
There is nothing to see, itâs been the first thing that was tested by me and it was a worse build for sure. Casting War Cry with 130% casting speed especially when swarmed can really go south and then interrupting this fat AA flow for that is just not worth it. I tried it. You can try it yourself too, if you donât believe me.
EDIT: Forgot to mention (again) that War Cry requires Warborn helmet which ruins the whole item setup which is built in a way that all wps are boosted by additional weapon damage mod and capped and then Rebuke is also capped.
That is true and viable, but the low speed of them annoys me too much to use blind fury here. But again this could certainly work out.
Is there any easy way to lvl up that build?
Look for Warlord leveling guide on this forum.
1.2.0.3 Update!
Decided to update this gunslinger with more realistic green items (apparently âVampiricâ doesnât drop anymore at high levels or like drops once in a year) and more tanky devotions because game got harder.
Find the updated grimtools in the op. Here is the video with current buildâs performance.
Hey, interesting question, I never really thought about it, because I donât test builds in Main Campaign (assuming that if it can farm SR 75-76 or Crucible Gladiator 150-170 it should easily dispose of Main Campaign challenges). Apparently, reflect damage is a problem there (because itâs nerfed in SR/Crucible).
So besides having maxed out Rebuke for 35% reflect reduction other sources of reflect reduction are a bit scarce. Like there one on Owl, but we really need cc-res from Throne. Titan Plating doesnât fit the build resists wise, using Sigil of the Bear King would be a huge dps loss, so the only way of doing it with minimal dps loss would be taking Serenity.
Or just avoid Steps of Torment with this particular build if reflect is so nasty there.
I am fairly new to this game and am having difficulty recreating the devotion path. Apparently I need very precise directions, similar to the underlying build - for example, Crossroads Red, add âwhateverâ devotion, remove Crossroads Red, etc. Otherwise, I am enjoying this build. Thanks for all your efforts.
Oh, SSCâs comment brought this build to my attention. And this looks a whole lot like the 2-3-button fire gunslinger purifier, without the need for standing in the inquisitors seal! (which annoys me more than it should)
May be something I try leveling on the side.
This is how I made it last time but didnât update the guide because wasnât excited about the build anymore:
It can be sometimes confusing, but beginner guides do good job explaining it I think.
That doesnât seem to be the right build link ![]()
general approach to devos is work your way inside out
start filling in all the builds tier 1 devos after unlocking crossroads, then you fill in tier 2s, if you canât fill in/access all a buildâs tier2 devos you use a temporary filler devo of the other tier1s providing that colours. Then you fill in the tier2s, remove the filler devos (and potential excess crossroads remaining), finally filling in tier3s.
That way a devo route will always be possible to complete
*keep in mind there is a difference in doing this/ being able to complete a devo map, vs unlocking them in a âsemi-optimalâ order during levelling, because end builds usually donât have devo setups/orders based on levelling efficiency.
Following your approach, I finally figured it out, working from the inside out. Probably not the most elegant solution (add this, remove that, etc.) but I got all the devotions and so happy about it. Thanks for the advice.
I just bought the game and the DLCs a week ago (January 2026) so apologies for noob question: isnât Inquisitor better for DW pistols as it has a dedicated skill from start and frees up an equipment slot? thanks for your input
For most damage types yes, but for Physical not really. It can be viable as a Tactician, but the way Physical damage works it will take me a wall of text to explain it. I would suggest if you are a new player donât bother yourself with endgame builds or complex mechanics, just play the game and enjoy it, you are still too far from an endgame build.
As a completely new player to this game Mad_Lee, would your builds be ones that are end game gear that is hard to find or typically do you provide the easier to obtain gear?
In addition how crucial is the game version for the build? Should I only look at the absolute most recent game version or is there a version I can go back to from the most recent and still have reliable builds?
I know im not Mad_Lee but i can say for absolute certainty that his builds are not beginner friendly at all. However, there are some amazing guides from the likes of S.E.P_Ralf and RSnoomak and many more people. All of the builds from the liked forum post are end game playable, but i would mainly stick the builds posted after the 1.2 update as that changed the game significantly
Thank you for the reply! Is it decently easy to swap from a leveling build to an end game build? I just donât want to follow a build that smacks all the way through until itâs time to grind for items for an end game build, but I canât kill the monsters I need to farm for the items. Or is this game not set up in this way?
Also I though MI were items that were usually best in slot for builds, but I only see people using Legendaries in their end game builds. Is there a reason for this?
game doesnât work that way
End game builds just means clearing highest challenge content, while doing so in a âdecentâ/powerful manner. You can farm and obtain items without an endgame setup, like the budget setups in beginner section.
Difference is just amount/time/ease, so a budget build you might be running a lower SR range to farm, or you farm totems etc, while endgame builds you can clear SR 31+, Cruci 160, Celestials âflex contentâ while still getting rewarded for said bonus challenge.
In a way you could say GD endgame is what you want it to be. (there are no rules that you have to clear sr 26 vs 32 etc)
Itâs also worth to note there is nothing specifically uniqely hard in Leeâs build, because any build that uses rng epics/legends that canât be target farmed are basically equal in that youâre at the mercy of RNG (and almost all endgame builds ofc uses such items). The more MIs or targetfarmable/purchase craftable items a build has itâs potentially quicker to put together, but vast majority of epic/legend items in GD are pure RNG drops, so that applies to most engame setups and is then difference from beginner farm setups that uses faction items a lot.
Caveat with MIs is that part of their stats/strength vary based on random affixes, so some rng/luck still involved, but in most competent build cases itâs not like a build completely falls apart and 100% doesnât work unless you get 1:1 the same items including affixes; there is wiggleroom with what affixes you can settle for. (youâre then just also settling for slightly under âpeak potentialâ end char performance, but itâs usually nothing huge/gamebreaking)
