[1.1.9] Rashalga's OHKO me by acid pool {ultimate}

Well, to put it simply when this big bug cast her acid pool (not that ones from worms) my death knight just die in second even through 11/10 mark of torment (I mean that my char really die in one second). Her spike and claw attacks doesn’t make any super damage though, painful but tolerable with my health and life steal. I’m not pretend that my build is some kind of OP stuff but still it’s tough enough to survive quite easily in most situations.

All deffs are overcapped for 20-30%, phys resist is 23%. With quite the same defense stats my lightning Warderer pulverized her in a seconds without any big losses in health (well, he have twice much of damage but still) when I last time killed her, and this was on 1.1.8.2 version of game.

Maybe I was just unlucky to drop on overbuffed variant of Rashalga, same as it can be time to time with Lorkarr for example (when this dude call all his clones from the start of battle and pulverize you in 3-4 strikes, and in normal state he call only one clone and is pulverized by us in steady rhythm (that was in 1.1.8.0)) Or overclocked Morgoneth with his OHK through jump smash.

Looking at her entry on grimtools and the Poison pool by far looks like the tamest part of her kit:

What is more likely to kill unknowing players in the fight is her shotgun aura:

The first skill above is a buff she triggers when she stops and starts screaming with the 3rd scream in a row doing it. It’s easily signified by a red glow around her.

While this buff is active, any projectiles or ranged attacks that hit her from anywhere like the Aether blast or Aether spines on your Krieg character will trigger the second skill. Take note that it fires 5 projectiles in a fan (so you will eat all of them up close to her), each dealing 3% of your current health + a chunk of Pierce/Vitality damage and that it has no cooldown so can be triggered rapidly off of one skill if you are not careful. The huge damage spike is often enough to insta-gib characters.

Most likely due to her shotgun skill as well and make worse with that DA reduction. Level 111 Rashalga have 2.7k OA and your DA were dropped to 2.2k

Yep, definitely shotgun stuff. But still can’t understand how 15%+1.5k of damage can pulverize me so fast even if it don’t have cooldown on retaliation. Aether fan is not so common proc, same as all other ranged ones. Plus I reap part of her damage through War Cry. Even my ranged Purifier didn’t get instakill on 1.1.8.

Killed her by some amount of kitting. That is really a meh stuff. Same lame as rylok nemesis nullification balls.

The damage you see is without her +% damage bonuses applied. She has around 1200 Cunning/Spirit which translates to ~+480% Piercing/Vitality damage and +54% Piercing/Vitality damage from passives.

So it’s more like each projectile does 2802 Vitality damage, average 3170 Piercing damage and 3% of your current health.

Even taking 80% Pierce/Vitality resistances into account, she’s War Cryed for 25% less damage and you have Mark of Torment up for 50% damage absorption, that’s 210 Vitality damage, 237 Piercing damage and 0.45% of your current health per projectile. But like I said above, no cooldown:


She fires alot of those out with no delay. You get skewered facetanking her if you can’t handle the shotgun.

Get used to it. Every build can’t facetank every attack. Some ones you have to dodge or risk massive damage spikes. Aleks Meteor, Zantarin’s shotgun or Kymon’s belly burst come to mind for some others.

Is very easy to dodge though.

Had more than enough experience of this when run to SR65 on Warder.

And who can tell about overcloked Lorkarr?

Lokarr can spawn with different weapons, if he rolls something like “earthbound of ruin” 2H mace you can be pretty much screwed.

Zantarin doesn’t use shotgun in melee, only on long ranges (killed him few dozens times in SR) and Aleks’ meteor isn’t so bad (well, not pleasant though).

Lokar has default RR shred and DA shred - those 2 things need to be accounted for by default, then on top of that you gotta pay attention to mutators and like Ulvar said WYSIWYG items

Zantarin doesn’t shotgun in melee, it’s set to only be used at medium/long ranges, usually he’ll charge it while you’re approaching but if you bait it out then engage, he won’t cast it again in my experience.

Lokarr can spawn with a random weapon. If you get unlucky and he spawns with something that deals pure Physical or increased Physical, the fight becomes substantially harder. I’ve had Retaliation characters go from complete facetanking him to getting sudden OHKO’ed before due to RNG.

Don’t know what mean WYS/WYG but I farmed full Dark One and Lorkarr sets. And every one run from 4-6 all Edge of Reality and Lorkarr himself were overcloked - all mobs have around x2-3 of health and damage, plus Lorkarr also spawn 4-5 clones from the very beginning but not after he lose half of health. In normal run I kill him without any problems in 3 minutes and also don’t have any problems with mobs on EoR map.

In 1.1.9 he really don’t use shotgun in melee range, but he don’t cancel cast when you come closer so you can be OHK if you run fast to him from long distance. Tested by myself in SR few weeks ago.

Nah, doesn’t saw him with any unique weapon, only standard redeemer equipment.

if lokar insta spawns with multiple clones from the beginning something is wrong with your game/need to verify files

and having been 1shot in melee last week by zantarin he definitely still uses it as usual
