The game starts normally as always, but doesn’t react on any actions by keyboard or mouse - the cursor moves and shows interaction with menu buttons, but I can’t click on any one, or use ESC to close game. There was never such issues before… (I do not use antivirus and didn’t changed any PC configurations) windows 7x64
If anyone know what’s the issue please help…
any chance you have some peripheral connected you could try unplug to see if it fixes it?
controller, usb stuff etc`?
there is no issues with keyboard or mouse when I close the game, it’s only in the game problem - and it’s weird. Yesterday I tried again, and didn’t mentioned that keyboard reacts only on Keyboard’s right side “Num Lock” buttons 123456789 - changes the position of “choose hero” - must be something with ‘in game button settings’ I don’t know…
that doesn’t mean it can’t be a peripheral causing it…, which is why asked if you had some or tried disconnecting them, because sometimes they can interfere
Update! Just laucned game, I did no any changes while sleep. All works fine now as it should. Who knows what was the reason, the only thing that changed between successful and unsuccessful launches of Grim Dawn was that ‘I installed Spellforce 3 game and played few hours’ don’t know if some conflict may cause lauches of those games, due to the fact that Steam will soon be shutted down on my Windows, maybe it’s just steam itself unstable. anyway, problem was solved by it’self…
I’m having the exact same issue. The game has been working beautifully until this morning. Now the UI in the opening screen does not work at all. I am currently not using any mods of any kind. I’ve made no changes to my system, my mouse no longer will engage anything in the UI. Weird. Everything works fine outside the game.
still doesnt work? update please if you will find any solution for yourself
As of this morning I still can’t log in. I don’t understand what has happened.
For me, right stick controller drift caused a very similar issue as OP.
I don’t play GD with a controller, so it messed things up a bit.
Unresponsive mouse/keyboard, camera having a life of its own etc.
No menu button would work at all.
not quite sure what you’re saying? you confirming what i referenced in regards to peripherals being a potential cause?
or that you had “stick drift” despite not having a controller plugged in?
The controller was plugged in, messed everything up when the stick made its own intermittent inputs.
Unnoticable when I wasn’t playing anything, but made GD unplayable with mouse and keyboard.
So yes, peripherals can absolutely be a cause.
