GrimTools: Elementalist, Level 100 (GD 1.2.0.5) - Grim Dawn Build Calculator
It’s always a good day when you can walk toward enemies and they politely die as you approach. This build began with a focus on lightning damage to Ulzuin’s Wrath for that sweet, sweet, life-stealing AOE damage, and then I included some tweaks for Primal Strike. Ulzuin’s Wrath procs every 0.5s, critting for up to 300k damage to up to 9 enemies in a wide area. Primal Strike has a 4.5 meter radius (not including the arc from Torrent), and can crit for up to 615k damage. With both skills happening multiple times per second, the overall single target and AOE target damage is really quite good!
It is a SQUISHI BOI with only 12% physical resistance (le gasp!), and should probably be tweaked for better balance. BUT IT’S FUN and it’s the first iteration of the build and I’m really happy with the overall AOE playstyle. Rather than me tell you about it, watch this video:
The build is spec’d for crit damage, and I have used a specialist green weapon, but it is not required; If the weapon has lightning or elemental damage on the suffix/prefixes, it will be good. This may mean missing out on four points of Primal Strike, but it will still be quite powerful. Same with the ring. The build may need different resistance balancing depending on the prefixes/suffixes of the two green items.
But, if you like light hearted AOE stroll-through-the-park (and then die suddenly and unexpectedly due to poor DA and low physical resistance) playstyle, then give it a whirl, gurl!
