[1.2.1.2] Beyond the veil - Beginner HCSSF Callidor's tempest Spellbinder - easy endgame farmer + leveling guide

Spellbinder, Level 20 (GD 1.2.1.2) - Grim Dawn Build Calculator

fits with skill points at level 20 (3*19 + 1 from kasparov)

1-10, you end up like this

between 10 and 20 you fill in so you end up like this

ie from 10 to 20 you put 8pts in Inferno, 4 in arcanist bar, 15 in necro bar 1 in Binding 3 in Wrath

journy from 20->30 so you end at this at 30

in this spand you add 4 in Wrath and 12 more in Necro bar, and 8 in arcanist bar, 1 in Callidor, 1 in Inferno, 1 in Maiven and 3 in Conversion

the guide matches
(it just doesn’t go lvl by lvl point by point between the levels, but the general approach “spend these until here”)

this is where i saw the confusion, on the level 20 bracket, where it says 1 point in Callidor’s too and continue to add points until reaching Conversion, that wasn’t matching. But now after you explained, it now makes sense, thanks for clarifying this :slightly_smiling_face:

Happy Holidays

do you recommend doing FG after warden or is it better to continue vanilla camp? (HC normal+veteran)

For this build i recommend continuing the vanilla campaign

I learned a lot reading this. Thanks for the straightforward guide.

Why not use reckless power as exclusive skill ? It seems to offer more damage and stun retal.

Thank you! Well, i chose harbinger of souls bcs it gives us cast speed. aether dmg and ADCTH. You can use reckless power instead, but i don’t know how it would affect char’s survivability.

I’ll be happy if you can make some tests using reckless power and showing us ur results

Will do but I don’t have the optimal set up (I don’t have the gear) yet.

I have a layman’s question. I’m level 20. I have Spectral Binding and Spectral Wrath. Callidors Tempest (4), Inferno (3), M. Protection (1) - Conversion (2). But my question is about attack. My main skill is Callidor Tempest now, but it’s starting to bore me, because I hardly ever use weapons. Will there be more skill to attack?

I have a question about the Devotion tree. I have absolutely no idea what I could put into it.

Hi! Well i don’t know this build, so i don’t have an answer… I guess it depends on what kind of endgame content you want to clear

Sry for the stupid question , I just got a core with +4 calli and +5FoR also 23 cast speed, whichi boosted my dps with 40 k

I created an account here just to thank you for this build. I just bought GD last week and started playing, so I was looking for a beginner friendly build. I didn’t understand the builds that just give you a lvl 100 char, but then I found this post. I appreciated the step-by-step guild so much!!

I finally made it to level 100 today and farmed the Kreig set. The leveling process was super smooth and I loved that the build got up to full power at about level 50 with the Core weapon. After that point everything was easy!

I struggled early with dying a lot, but I’m sure that had to do with the fact that this is my first time playing the game so I wasn’t prepared for any of the bosses. But you were absolutely right about rushing to Harbringer of Souls; once I got that, the sustain was much easier and I never died again after that at all.

Once the build was complete, I tweaked it a little for my playing preferences. I got my health up to 23,000 while my CT is still at a nice 66k dps, and I’m really happy with that.

Again, thank you so much!

Noob question, do we spend all attribute points on physique?

Welcome to the forum. :slightly_smiling_face:

If you hover over the attributes in the grimtools link you’ll see that yes, all the points have gone into Physique.
